Even though he was beaten to a pulp, he's still an elite fighter in my eyes. Doesn't go overseas much, and probably nervous as hell in front of a huge English crowd Did anybody see him do some Floyd Mayweather ****? Him ducking Froch's shots over and over again at the end of the 4th just like how Mayweather was ducking Baldomir's. It was a sight to see, even though Bute lost . Fellow Canadian here. Hope to see him do more Floyd Mayweather moves, it was just NASTY. Loved it. Rematch clause. Want to see the next match @ Montreal.
Your previous trolling attempt — the Wladimir/Sanders thread — was more subtle. I'm sure you'll hook some fish on this one, too, though.
That wasn't troll. Just what I thought. Go rewatch the fight, it was pretty sick, even though he was beaten bad. Him ducking those shots in the 2nd was nice.
I'm not criticizing your decision to troll, only your execution. This one will get some fish, but the other was better. All I'm saying.
Actually, I think that is Bute's main weakness. . He is not as slick with his upper body movement as a fighter with his hand, and foot speed should be. . . He can't roll with punches, or bob, weave, and slip shots very well by bending at the waist. . . Indeed, he is not "slick." MOREOVER, he has absolutely NO GUARD whatsoever. . I've seen pieces of bread less porous than his guard. . . He's kind of like Martinez (without the instincts), in that, his only defense is his fast feet, enabling him to skeet around the ring, and dictate range (usually on the outside, away from danger). . . Once Froch took his legs away, he lost all mobility, inhibiting him from utilizing lateral movement. . . ALl he could do was retreat to the ropes, try to counterpunch, and duck shots as best as he could (not very well). . He couldn't tie up, or anything. . .
I partly agree, I thought Bute's left hook in particular looked awesome in there and thought it would've been a gamechanger later on the fight, but he just never got there. I was under the impression that he was alright and whilst taking a bit of a beating would get back into it in a few rounds and it was just the pressure, but after Froch finally finished him, it was apparent that he was caught by something that he just couldn't recover completely from, or maybe he had (because he seemed to look fine, maybe he was bluffing) but once the pressure came back on him (and Froch was throwing some BIG shots) he just couldn't take it. I was impressed by both guys, obviously Bute goes in the glass chin bin for most guys here and he gets **** on but I think it's wrong to completely write him off or even say he didn't have his moments in that fight, it just wasn't his day. And concerning Froch, I'm really proud that he came out and finished the fight in five, it really shows his power at a time where people were sort of underestimating it and basically saying he wasn't ever a huge hitter and that Jermain Taylor KO was more down to stamina. Was impressed by both, would like to see the fight again in Canada, but I think a Kessler-Froch rematch is much more marketable and exciting. The Ward fight? A bridge too far. The question now is for Ward, who is there to take on at SMW? Froch and Kessler seem on a collision course, the Bute fight isn't really marketable, Dirrell hasn't made his stand in the division yet, so maybe he could try for Dawson's belt and possibly get a fight with Hopkins/Pascal before coming back?
He is just like mayweather cause ye slips a punch and gets knock the **** out? Boxing bute ***** fans are sad. The man was a fraud. We all knew its and he choked in his biggest fight. Get over it. Dont compare hype jobs to mayweather jr
Great post. Yeah he lost all his lateral movements after taking those shots. Those ducks were pretty nice. Very similar to when Floyd was ducking Baldo's shots, except it wasn't as successful .
I know what he is talking about, in the 4th round Froch had Bute in the corner pounding on him, and Bute just dropped his hands and literally ducked everything. Was awesome to see.
Someone was watching the fight. I'm glad someone doesn't just think about how froch was going to knock bute the **** out.
