Both were tremendously one sided. Is a one-sided 12 round leathering a worse beating than a one-sided 5th round stoppage? Like Lacy, I feel Bute will never be the same again. I'm leaning towards Froch simply because Calzaghe could always outbox Lacy, but Froch bulldozed through Bute which I did not expect.
We will have to see what happens with Bute. Lacy was not the same fight after the beating he took from Calzaghe, and im guessing that if Joe had not had all the issues with his hands that Lacy would of got KTFO.
If I was a Bute fan, I would not have liked for that beating to have continued for 12 rounds. I mean the ref was willing to give him another go after that pasting against the ropes!! Thank God the trainer had some common sense!
Wrong lacy hasnt been the same since he torn his left shoulder (His favorite punch is the left hook) in his tune up fight.
Apparently according to Dywer over at Gamblers advisory the only reason Bute lost to Froch was because he got hit and that meant he lost his legs and got knocked out. Obviously then the Lacy victory is better... oh wait no that's how you win a boxing match. Froch's victory is more impressive IMO because he didn't just outbox, he physically bulldozed and annihilated Bute.
Froch sonned Bute. It was like a man fighting a boy. Calzaghe schooled lacy but didn't do a demolition job.
