Just as Diaconu was, Bute is close to being retired by Interbox who have 22 year old Romanian prospect Bogdan Juratoni (World Championship bronze medalist, going to take part in the London Olimpics at 75 kg in his last bout as an amateur) lined up to become their new golden goose to be raised for SMW. Their plan is to make him ready to fight for a belt by 2017. They initially probably planned to keep Bute going for 2-3 more years at least but after last night if Bute will want to keep going I'm expecting Interbox to tune him up for a last big cash in (rematch, Pascal at LHW etc).
Even as a Froch fan,recently I've come to like Bute and I enjoy banter with many of his better fans. But I worry where he can go from here.That's one of those losses that hurts the mind more than the body.
Agreed- As an outside observer, it looked like Froch literally ripped Bute's soul out of his body at the end of the fourth. My prediction would be Bute will never recover from this loss. Don't take my word though, I had Bute winning this thing via UD:blurp
If they let him go he can easily sign with another promoter in Canada or the US, promoters can't retire a fighter

I think him and pascal have unfinished business and I think a move to 175 makes sence. Its not a deep devision the way that 168 is and there are some money fights at that division for him if he wants. I wouldn't advise him to take the rematch. Which is ashame because I actaully feel like he was really hampered by the extremely small ring and a horrible lack of respect for Carl Froch. He fought the wrong fight. And if he stuck to boxing (instead of trying to slug with a superior slugger) and had the ring to do it in, I think the fight could be alot closer. That being said I would never want to see him take the rematch simply because he can't keep froch off of him with his power and Froch can hurt him with one shot. So at the end of the day no matter what tactical/technical adjustments he makes he still has to survive twelve ronuds with a man who he can't hurt and who can hurt him at anytime. And thats a recipe for getting KTFOed.
Did Interbox shown any interest in Juratoni at all, I mean I like him as an amateur but he at beginning even at this level. Not that accomplished amateur yet, he's more of a hope. Great style promising young amateur. I'll be surprised.
What about Coté? is he with Interbox? I mean, Montreal isn't going to stop being boxing fans cause a few of their boxers lose. . . It will always be a boxing-mad city.
Bute will be just fine. Mosley took a 12 round ass whooping from Forrest, Forrest got blasted by Mayorga, Frazier got blasted by Foreman, Barrera against Junior jones, Arce against Carbajal and they were never able to beat their enemy in the return but they were all able to bounce back from really bad defeats and win world titles.
