I will try get you over to the darkside in the end :smoke Blackberry JAD file (dropbox link) I designed it with scoring inline with live matches but I understand it will be used in both situations. I will expand the rounds length for 1-15 then (put 15 for anyone watching old matches) only reason I had it the other way was to try and keep things a simple and quick to use as possible. I would suggest that you enter the number of rounds the match was scheduled for. I do need to look at a way of putting in a actual result. which would mean after say 4 rounds of scoring you could click "Save and Enter Result" which you could then enter Boxer A UD or Boxer B TKO5
:good Again, there are boxing cards in certain South American countries (which many of us watch online) where the bouts are scheduled for 9 rounds/11 for a championship instead of the customary 10 rounds/12 for a championship. So maybe have the round options be: 3/4/6/8/9/10/11/12/15
Glad IB came in here with input... As these are things that I surely wouldn't have pointed out, but will definitely make the app better for a wider audience. Let us know when you put an update on the market!
An example: http://boxrec.com/media/index.php?title=Fight:1414895 Panama and I believe Colombia are where the practice is most commonly found. All their regional titles are contested over 11 rather than twelve. Then non-title bouts between established gatekeepers and contenders go 9 rather than the ten they'd go up here in NA and most of the rest of the world.
Thanks for the input I wouldn't have known that about the rounds. I will most likely just cover all 1-15 as options for rounds. and have it default to 12. Haven't had much time over weekend, I was up in nottingham watching some guy fight a romania.. (sure you guys won't of heard of him so i won't bother you with details lol) anyway should get some updates out this week for it!
Hey Guys, been working hard (at work and) on the app recently. I pretty much have it so you can "find match" instead of entering one yourself and it will pull all the latest matches from boxrec which you can then pick from... This should be launching early next week ready for the pacman fight. Next on the agenda is posting score card!
Right you should all start seeing the update for the find a match... pretty self explanatory... New button to find a match, It will list all the upcoming matches scheduled between two fighters (no "Person A vs TBA" are listed) the list is ordered by the fight ranking (same as on boxrec with its star system) Matches should update once a day. v0.9.1 -new find matches option to score matches without having to enter date, rounds and boxer names -minor change to they way in which you delete matches -ability to pick from arounds 3 up to 12 and including 15 -splash page added when loading up the app - new icon as always let me know of any bugs, issues or improvements. thanks
Just downloaded this, was using another one which was ok but pretty cut and dry, though I guess as a scorecard you don't have to be much more. However, this one looks really cool and I like that you can compare with others. Thanks man, I'll use it tonight for FNF!
Thanks dude Well you cannot compare just yet... but I will be getting to that point shortly. Lets put it to good use to night guys for the bradley pacman fight x
