Don't know if you paid attention to that, but he invited Froch to war in round 3. He did contribute in this fight ! :deal

Nah.I ain't buying.I've come to like the guy but I actually felt sorry for guys like Badlok,Cloudz and Laffie (poor Drozzy, feel REALLY **** for him) because Bute had no resistance last night.Bute's a good guy and maybe he wasn't capable of any better but I felt he let his fans down in the ring.
And what did I say about the best build in the promo shots?:think:yep

    A heart-warming post Laffie.

You, just as I and the majority on this Forum, are boxing fans. We see our heroes reduced to heaps on the floor sometimes, it is a sport without comparison for its brutality.

It goes on though, and so shall you and the rest of us, all the best.

    great post Laffie

AS a Buté fan, I follow him since 2004, see him 2 times in Quebec city. Before Buté I was a big fan of Roy Jones, Lennox Lewis.
The fact that he was to green about fighting elite experienced guys is maybe a part of explanation.
Buté is an athletic machine but Froch is pure instinct with steel will wrought in adversity.
As you said , He put his game plan perfectly.

About Buté's power, Froch said that he understands now why Buté's shots can annihilate boxers and because of that, he decided to go faster if he don't want to have problems.

But Buté's chin is now clearly exposed.

Will I have to call fraud for that? Some are feather fisted, other don't have steel chin . Both, they can be great versatile boxers.

But in Buté's case, I will respect all his choices. As spectators, it's easy to criticize boxers but many of us has no idea about the courage it takes for training or to be in a ring. Boxing is an extreme sport and If a boxer want to give up, no problem.

Respect to Carl Froch, a great elite boxer.

The best build ALWAYS wins. :hat

Yeah I really didn't get why he was so innactive, he sticked to the ropes and was hoping for a lucky punch while letting Carl tagging his face with 100's of punches. :-:)-(

He went out on his feet, in foreign soil trying to defend his world title. Nothing wrong with that.

Bute was trying to be FAR too cute on the ropes. My god that was some BS, and leaving his right hand down? Carl couldn't miss with that left hook.

Bute has some work to do :nono

I'm still in shock. Johnson had a MUCH easier fight against froch than bute but we all saw bute handle Johnson with ease. Styles make fights and I guess frochs style is all wrong for bute. That or he completely underestimated him while also getting the wrong gameplan. But most likely the former.
I will continue to root for him though. He gave us plenty of great fights and was a great champ both inside the ring as well as outside.

Who would you rather fight an old Johnson coming of his best win in a few years or an older Johnson coming off a beating? Circumstances matter and Bute's people protected him like he was a 14 year olds hymen. He wasn't ready for this fight and now might be permanently damaged.

Classy thread and post. There's nothing wrong with losing to a world class fighter if you give your best and accept it graciously. Bute did both, just like my favorite Cotto after Pac.

Much respect to you and him.

I'm sorry to say this because I planned to follow Bute after this fight, but I don't see where he goes now.
He absolutely froze. His own mind will be his toughest opponent now.
I'm enjoying a bit of good natured fun but I feel a tinge of sadness for Bute and his decent fans.
The shitty ones can go **** themselves.:yep
