Guys I can't begin to express how proud I am of this guy. A couple of years ago Jeff asked me to train him because he knew he had unfinished business since then he has come back and had 4 fights lost 1. Sparred with marco Barrera his hero, entered prizefighter at a weight above his own fighting weight, sparred with Olympians and future champions. Jeff never asked for an easy fight and wanted to face the best available to him. Last night he went to London as the away fighter and took on a very very good young prospect. We could easily have got Jeff 5 wins on our local shows against journeymen but he didn't want that and for that I can't credit him enough Last night was a real war and Jeff was stopped on his feet still trying to throw punches! Typical Jeff All the best Jeff your a credit to the sport From all at the gym
You can now troll the lounge full time:good Think you have made the right decision you came back gave it a great go and have given us a great insight into the life of Blackpools premier cake fetishist.
****, I was thinking today how brutal boxing can be, is that the first time something like that has happened? I got knocked down in an am fight once and despite getting back up and aside from the post loss humilation ive never felt a headache like it, one of the worst nights ive ever had. best of luck
I've never posted her before but I hope to have a career as a boxer, but I hope to **** that I have the strength of Jeff especially when it comes to when enough is enough.
Jeff get involved with coaching young pros you still have a lot to give and always gave us a good insight
Good luck on your retirement Jeff. And as a coach as well. What you were saying about the concussion and the vomiting you suffered after your last fight are a reminder of just how brutal the sport can be. Glad you're getting out with your health intact.
Great Stuff Jeff, your getting out at the right time, im glad you have the sense to know when is the right time to leave. Best of luck with the coaching, hope to see you in the corner of an olympic champion of world champion some day..
You are doing the right thing and have experienced things within the sport most of us on here can only sit on the sofa and day dream of. Family and health is far more important, congrats on the career.
