Bute-Froch afterthoughts

I'm reminded of Weaver/Dokes going slightly differently in the rematch. :hey

 

Bute should definitely sign for the rematch.....BUT, he should take another fight first. Maybe George or another lower rated top 15 IBF type guy. And in fact, fight him in his backyard too.

I can't help but rewatch the look in his eyes as he swallowed his heart when he being given instructions. I always thought the huge crowds in Canada had prepared him for the big stage, but he literally looked like a prospect fighting a Champion last night.

Deer in the headlights from the opening bell. Tentaive to commit and so easily taken out of his game.

Im all for a rematch. And like many fighters before him, he can come back from this KO loss and be better than ever.

It got drowned in all the other threads, T. That's how it works on crashy-uber-boon nights on the general forum. One thread goes to twenty pages within an hour and another three on the same thing hit the second page in the same time.

 

Froch showed what he can do, an now bute got to ask himself, i think without anyfights, but only straight to a rematch, is it in me to win, can i counter this guy, can i get my bodyshots off, can i place my feet to get the power i have off, an move out of harms way. Bute has great boxing skills, i still believe p4p, this not a fighter he can not beat, this is not like tzyu an zab, were you just knew it would be the same result 10 out of 10, i say this is like a sanders/wlad, were the wrong game plan an the other guys winning.

as a fan of bute, i would love to see him try one more time, an the money is there now, he has got one more fight with showtime, at the very least showtime would like to show off froch for a rematch with ward, he will have big homtown show up, ward fighting later this year, so why not....

If he loses, well there nothing wrong with that, there was nothing wrong with his lost this past saturday, he did not quite, he pushed himself, it was just not his night, he took a beating, but i don't believe froch power is like let say wlads, were retirment for health reasons should almost be the only choice after a fight with wlad an a UN reqirement

 

Why did Bute abandon his jab, he was bobbin his damn head to much instead of throwing punches.

 

if there is talk of a froch-kessler rematch i wouldn't mind seeing the two ko victims allan green and bute get it on.

 

Were Bute and Froch weighed just prior the fight? It looks that Bute had some good 10 pounds of weigth over Froch. Fight night weight for Bute would also reveal if he gained an unusual amount of weight after the weight in, which is a surefire sign of being drained, and would partially explain why his chin didn't hold up.
