What a war this would have been? Who do you think would have won this? I honestly feel Eubank would have beat Froch.

    Hell to the no.

168 Benn did NOT have massive power. Hell, Bute is a bigger puncher than Benn at the weight by a distance - Frankly, if you ignore the anomaly that was the McClellan fight, Benn was not in Froch's class.

I would go for Benn, but it'd be a tremendous fight...

I just think Benn has the edge in speed and power and would grind him down eventually.

But I see it as a 55/45 fight.

    He doesn't and he doesn't.

But more importantly, he sure as hell doesn't hold the edge in endurance. If anybody is grinding anyone down, it's Froch grinding down Benn.

I see a late stoppage win for Froch, although Benn could be slightly ahead after 6 rounds.

IMO no Benn would run out of gas like he did with Watson

Nigel Benn takes this one quite easily. He's an Army boy and Hard as nails.

I've got to tell you, he REALLY didn't look that hard dropping to the ground against Watson.

The way he went down was rather amusing.

I'm not comparing Watson to Froch, as they couldn't be more different. Just pointing out that Benn in boxing terms wasn't so 'hard'.

I was thinking about starting a thread on how Froch would match up against both these guys actually.

I honestly think Froch goes down as a higher Super Middleweight then both.

Based on what? His limited power? Inferior endurance? Technical ability? Punch accuracy? His ability to nullify a opponents strengths?! Magnificent punch resistance? :)lol:)

Actually, his punch accuracy probably was better than Froch's. Wouldn't help much down the stretch when he's getting pumelled. Serves him right for being such a crap puncher at 168.

Froch is already greater than either. He's more accomplished than the Welsh wizard, but not better than him.
