    Hagler...i think Monzon is a tad overated..

    It could go either way, but at their peaks I would take Hagler. Hagler was an excellent boxer who chose to brawl and go for the ko because of his early home-town decison losses. All of his middleweight title defenses ended in ko with the exception of Duran and Leonard. Hagler-Monzon match-up at their respective peaks could have been on of the greatest fights in boxing history.

    monzon's a god. he'd beat hagler in twelve rounds or fifteen, doesn't matter which. he wouldn't knock him out though.

    Hagler is barely top 10 all time at middleweight. Jesus people. Middleweight divison has been absolute **** since Monzon retired.

    Research Monzon, Holman Williams, Stanley Ketchel, Bob Fitzsimmons, Mickey Walker, Charley Burley, and Harry Greb first. They fought at times when Middleweight was stocked full of talent.
