Why ask for home advantage if it doesn't matter? I am not suggesting it would have changed any results but when there is a tournamnet with rules and one fighter seeks to have a different set of rules it raises questions. Like it or not but if ward had travelled and done what he did then there would be no questions. Just beacuse ward had practically dominated some b class fighters before the s6 doesn't give him the right to satge all his fights at home. He was quite green fighter at the beginning of the S6 so maybe his team thought that travelling could effect him due to his inexperience. Either way it was an unfair advantage that he needn't have sort.

if he was a green fighter at the start of the tournament, then how do you describe the veterans he utterly dominated? inexperienced? novice level? I dont get it. be even handed. he was perceived to be green but in fact, he was a p4p position holder, waiting in the wings.

as far as i'm concerned the question of travel isn't a question if you view how andre ward absolutely whitewashed his opponents. If he had been picking up split decisions and close wins, the question of travel would be viable.

My point is he is still and never was prepared to travel or be put at a potential disadvantage like the other fighters had to be..

In my mind the veterans he dominated were b class and only right they were since he was just about to realise his full potential. He did get buzzed up pretty badly in one fight so it wasn't all plain sailing and compared to some of the other s6 fighters he was a rookie.

Anyhow, nice speaking with you, off to my pit for some much needed shut eye:hi:

I don't think he has a chance beacuse of the styles of the two fighers and their last bout. He didn't won alot of rounds against the guy and beacuse he knocked out a un-tested champion doesn't automaticly mean that you are going to KO the tested champion.

Styles makes fights and the cobra has a hard time to win against a mongoose.

    maybe they'll get Ottke's referee.

"You can't hit him Andre, I'm warning you. that punching him in the face business isn't allowed"

I agree he should move on but the warrior spirit and pride won't allow him to. I can't help but admire him for that.

If you think that then you haven't a clue i'm afraid. America is one big country whereas europe is loads off different countries whom mostly don't like each other. by your logic the germans give us a fair shake:patsch

Yeah it's exactly what boxing needs. A guy who doesn't cherry pick and does whatever it takes to reach greatness through real achivments not favourable picks.

Exactly, all froch is trying to do is stay at the top by fighting the best and there is nothing like a bit of trash talking in order to get the fight he desires.

so kessler is b class? then, what is froch? kessler beat froch. b class? really? I feel like you're slighting ward, and unfairly I might add. where did he get "buzzed up"? he may have been a rookie, but he definitely wasn't green. also, like I said before, any idea of potential disadvantages that would have come as a direct result of traveing to fight, were deemed inapplicable when he exhibited complete dominance throughout the tournament. fighting somewhere else wouldnt have changed that.

Give me a break. You're all one big happy YuroPeon Onion. Or something like that. Except for Greece. And maybe Spain.....
