None of you probably even know his history or watched any documentaries on him.



He was badly badly handled and promoted. He couldn't even pay his rent during most of his 20's because his fights were not enough to cover his promoting fees, management fees etc.

He didn't have the choice of fighting big fights because his promoters basically ****ed him over. He was a no name.. SO

HOW THE **** CAN HE FIGHT THE BIG NAMES WHEN NOBODY KNEW WHO HE WAS?????

It's not like he's a legit superstar ducking everyone, nobody knew who he was. Trust me he woulda fought all the big names

if they knew who he was. But they didn't, so it's not his fault at all.



Ripping Calzaghe is like saying

DAMN Sergio martinez why didn't he fight Bernard Hopkins back in 2004..... instead of feasting on bums...


Why? nobody knew who the **** Sergio was then..

Joe Calzaghe beat the best. Enough said!

 

Calzaghe is better in every way. Not even close.

 

How is that? Because Froch's speed is too much for Calzaghe? Because Calzaghe gets tired? Because Calzaghe has a weak chin?

Calzaghe would make Froch look like a clumbsy fool. Worse than Ward did. Remember what Ward did to Froch right?

 

Being old and fragile hands also probably had something to do with retiring as well. If Calzaghe's hands were not so bad, he could have been even more dominant. Instead of winning on points, it would have been one KO after another. The hands were why he became the slap artist.

Calzaghe would make Froch look like a slow, cave man.

 

I appreciate Froch's style its very entertaining and when he gets his guy in trouble he finishes them.

That being said, Joe C would box Froch to Wide UD. Ward did it, Joe C would do the same.

You all forget how Lacy was the next fecking coming back in the day.
Joe schooled him.

Of course that all changed in these forums once Joe did school but thats another story for another thread......

Now im not saying it would be as one sided as that but!

They are both come forward pressure fighters and Joe C eats them up all day....

 

Froch would give Calzaghe a very, very tough competitive fight. Calzaghe would be favourite but the idea we would see another Lacy style shcooling is laughable, anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded.

I suspect a lot of Calzaghe supporters on here are just fanboys who jumped on the Calzaghe bandwagon after the Lacy fight.

 

Pudwill not Pudwell Robert atsch, was a late sub. Bet you didnt know that either, for Tate who pulled out.
What you also dont tell is that Pudwill was a fighter that had taken a world SMW champ the distance, though I dont rate the win.
Still when a fighter has 24 world title fights of course some will be gimmes, thats bound to happen. Look at Hopkins against Lipsey or Hakkar for example or Jones against Fraizer. They have had so many title fights some will be gimmes, but if Ashiras the only lighter fighter you can really find, you better look at Hopkins record
