i don't think benn k.o's him. Froch has a good chance in this if he can stay away from a war and try and box him at range. Froch is deffo up there with eubank, benn, calzaghe collins i dont know if he would beat them all but i think hes got the best CV out of all of them
I would fancy Benn because Froch would go to war. Been at his best had more explosive power. Froch has a great chin and he would need it against Benn but you cannot take to many clean shots against Benn.
i just want to see this version of nigel benn you are portraying, the chap who is upright,no head movment,no straight punching,no power,no inside work, come on,post a video of this chap.:hey (and don't go posting a vid of nicky piper,i will know the difference, benn had a beard)
Even though I love Benn, I think the Eubank Benn era is over-rated somewhat. I'd go for Froch in this one.
Nah, its was a great era grant, some top class world class middles/supers worldwide, it went down hill a bit in j cals era (not his fault)but it seems to be picking up again now, some great fighters about, froch being one of em
fROCH WINS THIS AND RELATIVELY EASILY IMO. a lot bigger than nigel and a lot, lot tougher mentally and physically. nigel didnt really knock anyone out at super and i have said for a long time he didnt carry his power up very well at all. froch can box him at range ala abraham and start to beat up nigel. nigel has his moments down the stretch but froch's chin saves him from being badly hurt and he ends up giving benn a bit of a beating with nigel quitting or ref stoping the contest. froch has better engine too and lives clean unlike nigel who loved drinking etc. only way benn wins imo is one punch ko and dont think he punched hard enough at suer to do that.....
i like froch but this is ridiculous, and too bring up the watson fight as a example of why benn would lose to froch is even worse. watson was a class operator and one of the best technical fighters that britain had and nigel benn improved vastly after that defeat. Benn was not a slow starter and would have leapt on froch as soon as the 1st bell went, carl froch's left hand low, slow footwork would have caused him to eat nigels right hand all night, no real head movement from froch either, where as nigel ducked, bobbed and weaved. he was square on alot on saturday night great performance but hes not beating benn. and people questioning benns heart and mental toughness..... really. the man was a warrior and at his best when hurt. froch combination punching is untidy and not fluid, and froch is uppercut in my opinion is incorrect... one of the best uppercuts i have ever seen from a british suppermiddleweight is james cook perfect short and powerful uppercut. the dark destroyer wins this one for me! how would watson v froch have gone?
