awful news, such a talented guy..... wish him well, and my advice to him is "never say never" docs have told many people over the years they won't walk again.. but determination and guts to defy the odds have been proved correct. looking forward to hearing such news in the future.
Is that confirmed? and this is really upsetting, it's been a horrible few days for the sport with Tapia and now this. Gutted for him.
Get a grip, he was barely above the limit and EVERYBODY breaks it at some point. Limit's 70mph in the UK, dunno about US but he was on a motorway, not like he was one of these peadofiles who get away scot free 9 times otta 10, just have a talk to yourself.
He at least is said to have buisnesses outside of boxing that have made him wealthy or comfortable with life outside of boxing. But the fact that he is paralyzed from waist down is one of the worst possible situations.
75mph isn't driving like a madman. Half the drivers in California regularly go up to 80. And that's in cars. A motorcyclist going 75mph? That's nothing. Consider that he was at least matching the speed of the car in the lane next to him since he had to avoid it. The accident wasn't caused solely because of speeding. It was started because a car went into his lane and the driver didn't see him there. He had to move into incoming traffic to avoid the car. So yeah, kill yourself. And that's not a request. It's the right thing to do.
