I say Montoya deserves the support of all boxing fans and media. The guy is doing his job by investigating rumors. He's got the balls to publish what he learns, and he's got the backbone to stand up to Golden Boy's bully lawyers.

PED's have got to go: they've ****ed the sport up beyond belief. Boxing is no longer a level playing field where guys compete based on athletic prowess and instinctive fighting ability.

Today, pro fighters need to have the massive bankrolling necessary to finance their own doping programs. If the money is not there for the boxer, then no dope, no future. If a boxer does have the cash for PED's, then, for all intents and purposes, he bypasses his less moneyed competitors.

PED's are not fair and something's got to be done about them.

Check out the thread concerning GBP's lawyers sending Montoya a threatening letter because he's investigating the promoter's PED's testing policies.

He's heard rumors to the effect that Pretty Boy failed three PED tests in the past, but that GBP's contract with the testing authority enabled them to hide the truth.

It will take investigative journalism to explode the PED culture in pro boxing.

USADA has posted all of his drug test results on their website. The USADA also works in conjunction with The NSAC, meaning all of the drug test results are forwarded to them. That would have to mean that the NSAC is in on it, or that the USADA is hiding results from The NSAC. Those are serious accusations.

Also the USADA has the Olympics right around their corner do you actually think they would jeopardize their credibility by covering up a third rate sport like boxing and PBF. Are you ****ing kidding me??? Wake the **** up people. Not only that Montoya is a big PBF hater and hates the man I'm sure he has no agenda here.

Didn't you read what Montoya wrote? He's investigating rumors that GBP's contract with the USADA allows the promoter to suppress test results that indicate the boxer has been doping.

If there's any substance to the rumor, then the USADA would not be allowed to make the positive findings public. The USADA would be compelled to suppress the test results if Golden Boy asserts that the dope was in the boxer's system inadvertently.

In this case, the NSAC would receive only the subsequent, negative test results. Maybe there's a legal loophole allowing the USADA to do this.

Why exactly would The USADA even agree to do the testing if positive results were to be suppressed? That would defeat the purpose on their end. Furthermore, only posting negative test results on their website and omitting positive results, is clearly misleading and compromises The USADA's integrity. Again, these are serious allegations that would ruin the credibility of all parties involved if true. Montoya says he's a journalist. I don't know any real journalist that would spread this sort of information without hard evidence. If Montoya is simply going off of a rumor, that shows a lack of journalistic integrity.

The USADA is not a federal agency. It is free to make deals with organizations like GBP.

It's not like they haven't done it before, a lot:

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2003/apr/24/athletics.duncanmackay

Carl Lewis has broken his silence on allegations that he was the beneficiary of a drugs cover-up, admitting he had tested positive for banned substances but claiming he was just one of "hundreds" of American athletes who were allowed to escape bans.

"There were hundreds of people getting off," he said. "Everyone was treated the same."

Lewis has now acknowledged that he failed three tests during the 1988 US Olympic trials, which under international rules at the time should have prevented him from competing in the Seoul games two months later.

The admission is a further embarrassment for the United States Olympic Committee, which had initially denied claims that 114 positive tests between 1988 and 2000 were covered up. It will add weight to calls by leading anti-doping officials and top athletes for an independent inquiry into the US's record on drug issues.

The USADA didn't even come about until after the year 2000. It's understandable why the US government would cover up their athletes failing Olympic drug tests. I'm not sure why The USADA would do it for an idividual boxer. I'm not sure what they have to gain from that.

Uhhh, this exact scenario just happened with the Winky fight.

I bet Floyd tested for weed or something, either way I wouldn't be shocked if it's revealed that Golden Boy and USADA have some BS understanding.
