Revisiting Froch vs Kessler

wow man Froch beats Bute who has 0 significant wins and he gets extremely overrated

 

I had Kessler 1 or 2 points ahead and remember Kessler had double vision during this fight

the rematch will be close again

 

Kessler fought so sloppy, where was his crisp jab. Still a great fight but it was kind of like when Pernell Whitker Ko'ds that guy in 1 (forggot his name totally). Expected a clinic but got something totally unexpected.

 

Froch lost, he was too inactive in the middle rounds. Kessler was fired up and Froch "let" him win rounds.

2 iron chinned warriors who love to go to war, but Kessler wanted it more and deservered. Won by 2 rounds on my card.

 

NO, i like Froch but he lost that fight, just started to late, Froch vs Dirrell was closer than Froch vs Kessler, i honestly can not see how someone can score it for Froch!

 

I said at the time of the fight that I thought Froch won by a round or that it was a draw. And I (as my posting history would show) am NOT a Froch fan.

Round 1
Both guys starts out by throwing their jabs.. Both men targets high and low.Both men lands some solid single punches and 1-2s, Kessler is mainly the aggressor in the center of the ring.

Kessler starts out by hitting Froch low, Froch responds with a series of jabs.. Kessler comes back with a right hand to the body. Froch is during a nice job of fighting on the back foot while firing off the jab. Kessler lands some very good single blows. Kessler tries with a big combo at the end.
Tough round to score.

Froch starts out by jabbing Kessler, Kessler lands a nice body shot, but finds himself being out jabbed by Froch. Froch doing a nice job of keeping the distance and landing punches

Kessler starts out by stalking Froch, Froch again doing a nice job of landing the jab from the outside. Froch lands a nice right hand, Kessler lands a nice 1-2, Froch is still using the jab very well best punch for him so far, he tries to catch Kessler with a right, but gets countered.

They start out by trading punches, Froch finishes off by landing a great left hook, Kessler continues to stalk Froch and lands a couple of body shots. Froch lands a nice shot and misses, Kessler slips.. Froch follows up and takes the fight to Kessler, Kessler keeps responding. Kessler counters with a left, but Froch keeps it on the outside. BIG RIGHT HAND BY FROCH.

Kessler starts out with a solid right hand to Froch's chin, Kessler backs Froch up and fires off his jabs. Kessler goes out and lands some body shots, but has to eat some punches to the face, Kessler lands a nice left hook. Kessler keeps stalking Froch while trying to avoid Froch's long jab, Kessler jumps in and lands a couple of punches.
Kessler tries with a combo, lands some but gets countered.

Kessler starts out by forching the fight, he stalks Froch and lands some punches, Froch comes back with his jab and right hand. Both men misses with their power shots, Kessler is aggressive and keeps Froch on his back foot.

Both men stands up and trades shots, Kessler lands a big one to take the lead. Kessler is now stalking Froch, Froch is not throwing as much as he did earlier. Kessler misses with some, they trade jabs now. KESSLER WITH A HUGE RIGHT HAND. Kessler tries to follow up, he traps Froch in the corner and fires.. Froch escapes Kessler follows him while throwing punches.. Froch with a nice counter, Kessler lands a good shot at the end

Froch comes in with some great right hand, it scores well. Kessler comes back with a nice series, but a good left from Froch finishes the exchange.

Kessler takes the fight to Froch early one, Kessler lands the jab and follows up, Kessler tries with his combos again, Froch comes back with a nice 1-2, they exchange shots, they both tries to land shots.. KESSLER LANDS A BIG SHOT ON AN OPEN FROCH. Froch lands a big combo, Kessler with a good body shot.
Tough round to score.. Kessler takes it based on that big shot he landed

Kessler starts out with a combo, Froch fires back.Kessler with a good 3 punch combo, Froch comes back. Kessler responds.Froch stays on the outside, Kessler the aggressor, he gets in and lands shots.. They go in and trades toe to toe. Kessler goes in throws shots, gets Froch on the ropes, Froch comes back, they keep firing off their shots, Froch lands a good right hand, they finish the fight with some good shots, Kessler lands a few there.

I love Kessler and I love the Cobra. But this is a different fight for both fighters.

Remember that Froch came in to the first unbeaten. He believed that no one could ever touch him and Kessler took that away from him just like Calzaghe took it away from Kessler. And to some fighters something happens mentally when you loose that first fight. You start questioning yourself, you start asking whether you still got it. And I remember that Froch - after his win against Bute - was saying how he had those questions.

To some extend he might still have them. What happens if he loose to Kessler again? If those are the thoughts in his head it makes for a hell of a tough fight for Froch.

As for Kessler you just have to fear that he isn't as sharp as he once was. He might be rusty as well. After all he has fought nine rounds in close to two years years. Nine!

Last time around it was Kessler who had those thoughts coming off a loss and he won because he refused to be bullied by his own mind. Now though, they might both be hit by a bit of what if. A bit of insecurity. That makes for a do or die fight which could make it even more crazy than the last time around.

Hope they get it signed. I have Froch a small favorite should the fight be in England. In Denmark I have Kessler.

 

Kessler won that fight fair and square - it was close but still a pretty clear win - and Froch knew it after the last gong aswell. It was a hell of a fight and a rematch would be the best fight to be made in SMW by far - so get it on - the sooner the better

 

Kessler won the first fight and will win the second. Kessler won't stand in front of Froch with his hands down like Bute, looking only to land one punch at a time. He also won't freeze, lay on the ropes and let Froch tee off on him. Froch looked so good over the weekend because Bute let him dictate the action.

 

froch won i thought. but will they fight again??? kessler is at light heavyweight now so it might not happen

 

Froch nearly had Kessler out on his feet in the 12th, if he had as much stamina left as he did in the JT fight he would have stopped Kessler
