Hi all, have browsed the forums a view months, some great banter and chat have read over the months. Am after a bit of advice has to how i would go about getting signed boxing gloves i.e from Ricky Hatton without paying a fortune, also have people had any luck contacting fighters and getting gloves signed ? cheers jamie
You can always go to public weigh-ins, press conferences, training days etc. Going to gyms is also feasible; I've seen both Arnie and Billy Nelson say their gyms are open to anyone from here that wants to go. As for contacting fighters/trainers, you could always use Twitter. As a matter of fact, I recently seen Kevin Mitchell signing gloves for people that asked on there. Frankie Gavin in the past also offered anyone on here a signed glove if they wanted one. We're lucky because boxing figures are so accessible, so you really shouldn't have a problem getting some signed stuff :good
signed gloves these days are so cheap its possibility cheaper to buy an authentic one that paying your train ticket to get to the gyms
I seen on Kevin Mitchell's Twitter also he was getting gloves signed for people who asked. You can get allsort's of signed thing's, just got to make sure it's real. I got a signed Floyd Mayweather picture with COA off eBay for £11 (with P&P) because whoever was selling it never put a reserve on the item. Sometime's you can grab a bargain, but always make sure there's a COA. Then as people said, there's alway's going to fight's (i've got thing's signed by multiple fighter's, trainers, promoters, etc by attending fights). Then there's press conferences, training sessions, etc
cheers for your help guys, ill use twitter to try contact a few fighters see if i can get any gloves signed that way.
Hi guys have had some success, you got any more helpful pointers, or have people got any stories of successes they have had asking for signed gloves
hi pal i managed to get one signed from the hitman personalized to me was well over the moon, i live in darlington away from all the big gyms, so the traveling down to them is out of the question
I saw someone at the Froch weigh in getting gloves signed... Think it was from Mcrory.. but.. there were a few fighters wandering around.. Barker etc...
cheers guys, just picked up a signed Fedor A4 Strikeforce poster with a COA for a tenner from ebay, from some seller called UFC_Memorbilla, he had some cheap stuff for sale like
I normally just take a few gloves when I go to weigh-ins. Got McGuigan and Watt at the Froch-Bute weigh-in which I was pretty happy with.
Most fighters are more than happy to sign stuff if you just ask nicely & don't pester them. Carl Frampton signed some gloves for me & I have to say he couldn't have been helpful! Top,top guy!
