Roberto Durán Vs. Davey Moore came to mind first.

If we want to include psychological cruelty (not necessarily beating someone for the sake of beating them up), then I'd put Naseem Hamed-Steve Robinson.

It wasn't like a Chavez-Haugen where Hamed prolonged the beating, but he just mercilessly taunted Robinson in his hometown.

Golota is 40 and a top 10 "world class" heavy. Bowe is SHOT and sadly probably mentally ******ed.

I believe the cruellest fights I've ever seen was Duran-Moore, along with Chavez-Haugen.

WBA Light-Middleweight Championship Bout (Tokyo, Japan)

    Champion- Koichi Wajima
    Challenger - Oscar 'Shotgun' Albarado

The Champion took a frightful beating in the late rounds, and his head was bruised
from the head-shot battering by Oscar Albarado.

The bout should have been stopped by the WBA Supervisor or the Japanese Boxing Authority,
or Referee Yusaka Yoshida, and last but not least, Koichi Wajima's corner.

But no, they sent Koichi out for the 15th Round, where again he was battered by
the hard-punching Oscar Albarado, who floored Koichi no less than '3-Times'.

The final time for the full-count.

'Cruel and Unusual Punishment', was an understatement, as the exhausted and battered
Japan Warrior could have been killed, and or suffered a serious head injury.

    ****ing Boxing Officials,,,,,,,,,,,,,Useless Worms

Vitali/Briggs was rather brutal for a fight that didn't involve a knockdown.

    :deal:rofl

Johnson was in a few ones. Jeffries and Burns never had a chance from the start and the Willard fight was brutal. Mayweather-Corrales was just complete humiliation from start to finish. Holmes-Ali was a horrible beating that should never have even happened. Gainer Vs Norwood always sickens me as well. Norwood was a good fighter and could have done some pretty big things, but he was never the same after that disgrace of a finish. Never like watching Katsidis Vs Guerrero. Although it wasn't completely one sided, Michael took a virtually non stop beating of power and accuracy for 12 rounds.

Tyson vs Holmes. Usual no fear/no respect from Tyson. I don't
Know about sadistic, but Mike was looking to do as much damage
as possible, but you cant let a slick guy like holmes off the hook.
There was a prince naseem fight in the summer of 2000 when
Naseem dropped his opponent early, then hamed himself
was dropped. Naseem then koed him, but hit him mercilessyly
when he was falling. From what I remember they had to bring
a stretcher in. Mercer vs Morrison. I remember Mercer saying
"The ref should have stopped it earlier, someone could get
killed from those blows" Ok Ray Tommy was out you could
have stopped hitting him. Bowe Golota 2. I dont think anyone
could ever stop Bowe cause he was shot in this fight and took
unbelievable punishment, although he was out on his feet,
straight up warrior.Peak/Prime Bowe would have stopped Golota.
maybe Tyson could stop Bowe but Riddick had the heart of a lion.
    Anyway Golota threw mad
low blows, and the first knockdown was hit on the back of Bowes
head. Bowe while scoring his own knockdown also connected
on the back of the head, but was rightfully looking to hurt
Golota badly. Crazy fight. Triple nut shot combo was a disgrace,
sadistic in my book.Foreman Cooney. Whoo that
hook/uppercut by George to end the fight was damn brutal
and cold blooded. Big George was a bad bad man in the ring.
