Very few pussies in this division. the best fighting the best. Geale is too good to be true, i'll be supporting him though.
http://www.aus-boxing.com/2012/05/31/daniel-geale-signed-to-felix-sturm-on-september-1-in-germany/ IBF Middleweight champion, Daniel The Real Deal Geale (27-1-0) will head back to Germany to face WBA champion, Felix Sturm (37-2-2) in a unification bout on September 1, 2012 with the venue yet to be announced. Geale announced the site through his Twitter account this afternoon. The last time Geale was in Germany he shocked the world claiming the IBF world title with a 12 round decision win over local fan favourite, Sebastian Sylvester. Since that date last May, Geale has made two successful defenses of his title in his home town of Hobart, Tasmania against Eromosele Albert in August and Osumanu Adama in March of 2012. Im truly thankful to be fighting in this unification bout with Felix Sturm, Geale said. My promoter Gary Shaw has promised me the biggest fights and hes kept his word. Fighting in Germany is a very difficult task, but I was successful there once before when I captured my first world title against Sebastian Sylvester. Geale will face another German in Felix Sturm who will be defending his WBA title for the 13th time in succession with all of his fights being in Germany. Sturms last fight was in April against Sebastian Zbik where the 33 year old won by stoppage after the 9th round. This event is what boxing is all about, said promoter Gary Shaw. When you get two world champions agreeing to fight each other with no hesitation, you know the fans are going to be witnessing an unbelievable bout. Both guys are hungry to keep their titles and theyre going to leave everything in the ring. Words cant describe how excited I am about this event. Geale and Sturm are true warriors who are going to Bring It come fight night. Its going to be an incredible night of boxing. The true winners will be the fans. In Daniels last fight a new Australian superstar emerged, Shaw continued. Daniels superiority is confirmation that he is on the verge of pound-for-pound status. With the expert guidance of Garrie Fransisco and Bill Treacy managing Daniels career, along with Graham Shaw steering his corner, Geale has the right team to take him to middleweight supremacy. Its an honor to be promoting such a great fighter with a great team. The fight will be Geales toughest yet and he will have to again contend with Sturms home country advantage but the Australian will be hoping that Sturms 13th defense isnt lucky for the German. The fight will be televised live on Main Event PPV in the early hours of Sunday September 2nd in Aust
Great fights both of them and good luck to Geale, this is a very winnable bout for him. What about Geale's no.1 fan, old Sox, his missus will have bruising on the back of her head tonight from the bedhead after he finishes with her due to all this excitement! He'd be like a rocket tonight at the thought of this bout! P.S: How ****ing bad does Mandy's pathetic 'fight' with McKart look now when quality match-up's like these are being served up!!! Like the Rock say's, I'm getting half a Cadbury's over this...
Just want to write to give props to Daniel Geale. Win or lose he is really doing himself and Australian boxing proud. Daniel doesn't talk all that much, he signs to fight, trains hard and always gives his best effort which thus far has given him a wonderful career. I was very interested to see what Daniel would do after he won the title, would he sit on it in his country and make defence after defence (ala Mundine, Sturm, Green & others) or would he continue to challenge himself here and abroad? As I said Daniel doesn't say much but he has backed himself against the best in his division and when you see what others do with their careers you almost feel like thanking Daniel for doing what really should be the norm. Felix looked really good in his last outing but before that his last few fights were close and controversial. I have no doubt Daniel can win the fight but will he be treated fairly is always a question. Whether he wins, loses or draws (and under the circumstances in which he does so) I think we should all be proud of Daniel for what he has done and the way he carriers himself in and out of the ring.
Sox will premature ejeculate when he sees this thread title there's no ****ing chance of that old twat getting a wood on twice in a one day . Welcome to the party Danny boy Sturm is there for the taking and the Jerry judges was thawing a tad to overseas fighters , Pirog v Golovkin ? Yessssssss
I agree Josey, Pirog vs. Golovkin, if you can't get excited over that, well your as droll as a mother-in-law. Old Sox, he can't contain himself and he's out the back feeding the chooks as we speak...
Listen ****s, I've managed to keep my noodle in my pants thus far, although the dog is giving me some funny looks. :huh Anyway, how good is this! Is Geale the real OZZY deal or what! He'll be coming home with 2 belts in 2 years from Germany, that would be a supreme accomplishment. :happy:happy
If Geale wins (and is very possible), off the top of my head, I would say if would have to be top 3-4 acheivements by an Australian boxer ever. It would **** over anything those pair of ****wits Mandy and Bogan Boy have acheived. P.S: Sox, I could of sworn the DG initials shone over the Richmond area for you like the Bat signal. Your noodle would have been as hard as solving a rubics cube when hearing the news.
I'm riding front seat with sox on the Gealzaghe bandwagon :happy Gary Shaw better be working his ass of to secure some neutral judging. GGG to take down pirog IMO and lee to put a clinic on JCC JR
This is Gealeys chance to put his name up in lights. Would of been nice if he could of got the fight in the US but lets just hope he gets a fair deal when it comes to the judges. He did it last time he was there lets hope he can do it again and hopefully he'll be about $3.50 by decision and we can all clean up again:good I might even have to put some Vcash on him.
Hey on the GG vs Pirog side of things, am I missing something? Why is the WBO ok with sanctioning this fight over the one with Geale? I thought they were insisting Pirog fight his mandatory in NkJam next? Yes, I am easily confused when it comes to the alphabet committees rules.
Because the alphabet sanctioning bodies rule book looks like a bowl of their nsmesake - alphabet soup, a ****ing mess! It's landed in Geale's lap though. He'd be getting far better coin to face Sturm than originally vs. Pirog.
