Extra tape your not allowed to use extra tape each state has a set of guidelines in how much tape you can use what style of tape and the width of the tape.

Pacquiaos hand wraps in the Margarito fight I can tell you this he would not have gotten away with those wraps in Vegas, NY, LA or any other place except for Texas and his homeland.

Those wraps he stacked, meaning he put tape first then gauze then extra tape not to mention the 1 inch tape that he twisted and used inbetween the fingers which formed ridges over his knuckle area.

I challenge any ******* to find me another fight in which Mannys wraps were wrapped that way, they will not find it in all of his other fights the ridges are flat.

Bottom line, Margarito made fun of Freddy Roach, and Manny along with Roach took it personal and knowing that nobody would give a **** about Margarito, considering the smear tactics that were used by GBP and Mosley in LA

its called stacking tape directly on the skin then gauze then tape the tape on the skin and over the gauze compresses the gauze down and it becomes cast like as the gauze is now packed in tight.

This is exactly what Trinidad got caught doing with Hopkins.

No sir, that is not the case, Roach has a big name and in boxing people become close almost family like.
When you watch that roach series, when he got Khans gauze together for the fight with Judah, those gauze were about 5 inches wide, that is Illegal period. yet he used them anyways folded them over to make pads.

You must use 2 inch gauze 1 inch tape, 1 inch off the knuckle and no tape is to be directly on the skin.

its not that Roach is using the most effective method, he is getting away with it, commissioners look the other way.

well **** son. I am known as being very critical of Roach and Pac on here but I blame the commissions more than anything....kinda like how refs let my man B-Hop get away with anything in the clinch....B-Hops using whatever advantage he can get away with, if the refs ain't calling it then **** it keep doing it until you're caught.....cacaRoach just doing the same thing here, if he's getting away with an advantage then he'd have to be dumb or a man who values morals over winning to stop using it until he's popped for it and told not to.
