Pac will always beat Cotto at 147, regardless of trainer, mindset, age, etc.
Pac's style, speed, stamina, punching power and granite chin is all wrong for Cotto.

Regardless of what you think NOW, history will always remember that Pac's win against Cotto is what solidified his place in the top 50 ATG's and what made people (yes even you hardcore haters) understood that they are witnessing something special in Pac and take him seriously at WW.

    Watch the fight over again.
Those uppercuts will still hit their mark. Those lead lefts will still counter the hell out of Cotto's jab. Cotto's hooks will still be shrugged off. Pac will always be too fast, too powerful, too resilient, too unstoppable for Cotto.

    Get over it.

it wasn't being drained, it was focusing on making weight instead of the fight, especially with a green trainer

I believe cotto felt he was fine, but your body can tell you something different. I remember Oscar saying at the weigh in for pac he was in the best shape he had been in years, but his body told a different story.

Hearns was leading on the scorecards before he got Knocked Out.. And all the SRL fans were like, "SRL always finds a way when it really matters".. :hey
And a lot of comments like, "he walked thru Hearn's best shots before stopping him".. :yep I don't want to discuss it anymore, but if you've seen the fight you'll know for sure.. :yep

Leonard fought Duran toe to toe which was not the right game-plan.. I can't really tell whether he just wants to or maybe its just SRL's pride.. :think But on SRL-Duran II and III, SRL really showed that he could have beaten Duran during their first meeting..

About Benitez, who have problems with training.. :deal I don't know if that was for real, he just trained for 9 days against SRL.. :patsch

And on Cotto.. Cotto's got a problem with boxers who's work rate is tremendous.. Who answers fire with fire.. Adding the lack of corner advice is also relevant, but the 1lb difference is considered null and void.. He just weighed 146 lbs against Clottey.. :deal

LOL! "Magnamus" huh? I think magnanimous is what you are trying to say. I always find it humorous when people on E.S.B. try to speak like Don King. LOL! Or should I say humeres?

I see what you mean the only point I really take issue with is the motivation to lose the extra pound. If it was hard for him and I really don't know how hard it was for him but physics are physics and it is incredibly difficult to do.

You hurt really bad and can take a lot out of your body even with fight night being a day later. It's just something to keep in mind most fighters are fighting below their natural weight so they can be competitive so if they are fighting at 147 there usually isn't much room for error unless they have recently moved to that weight class

Yeah, I agree. Losing the last few pounds can be difficult.

But in Miguel's case, I don't believe it played a factor. It wasn't a whole weight division he was dropping. It was just one pound from the previous fight. And his performance in the ring showed he wasn't inhibited by it in anyway. His main problem, I felt, was that he was already damaged goods and was aided by someone who wasn't a proper coach.

Ok did you just say mayweathers win was better??

ok yeah he fought a bigger cotto but clearly cotto manned up and said he has no excuses.

cotto would say if he felt disadvantaged or cheated for example the first margarito fight.

but with pacquiao he admits he lost fair and square.

now mayweather fights cotto and wins (and by the way i give cotto 4 good rounds)

mayweathers fight was agood win but lets be real pacquiao did win by a wider margin.

(KEEP IN MIND IM NO ******* BECAUSE I DO BELIEVE MAYWEATHER BEATS PACQUIAO IN A FIGHT)

but lets stop discrediting pacquiao it is clear CLEAR A ****ING DAY that pacquiao did a better job against cotto than mayweather its because styles makes fights.

    Cotto has no excuses.

    Lets move the **** on.

SOmebody PLEASE praise this poster for finally exposing this myth momo's use to justify Floyd fighting a "better" version of Cotto. . .

hahahaha Floyd and his fans used to always talk that BS about "leftovers". . . So when Floyd fought Cotto after Manny annihilated him, they immediately began justifying it because "Cotto was rejuvenated" and "stronger at 154". . .

    And Manny fought a weight-drained Cotto. .

In reality, Pacquiao fought a FASTER, LEANER, and MEANER Cotto. . A cotto in better shape, not carrying around excess BODY FAT. . .

Pac gets more credit for fighting a better Cotto, and beating him more convincingly, but still, THE LEFTOVER CONCEPT IS RIDICULOUS, and Floyd and his fans look stupid as **** for believing in it. . . Floyd STILL FOUGHT a very dangerous Cotto. .

Mayweather beat Cotto at his comfortable championship weight. Plus Cotto looked better than we have seen him in years. Mayweather beat a better version of Cotto by far.
