I don't think the 154lbs division is as exciting as 147 or 168 but I think it has some good boxers. Like Cory Spinks, Oscar De La Hoya, Vernon Forrest, Joachim Alcine, Sergiy Dzinziruk, Joel Julio, Sechew Powell, and James Kirkland to name a few. Also Zab Judah and Shane Mosley could enter the mix. If they were to start fighting each other who would come out on top of the 154 division?
I don't think the 168 division is exciting, apart from Joe Calzaghe. In the 154 division...Cory Spinks has the everything to be the best. I think he's much better than 37 year old Vernon Forrest. Oscar de la Hoya could easily be the best there, but he prefers to only fight megaevents against fighters with "name". Paul Williams would make noise at 154. Mayweather would easily dominate 154.
I'm a big fan of Alcine but really i think its Cory Spinks. As much as i hate him, he is better than people think
I'm gonna say it would be between the ever improving Alcine and the old horse Vernon "Viper" Forrest.
