its ok i was doing the same to 20 year olds then i spared a 14 year old international and it was a hell of a lot harder
the younger the sharper in my opinion (to a degree obviously

I think its more down to the actual technically ability of a fighter when it comes to sparring if neither fighter is taking the ****. Most sparring at the gym should be light with emphasis on speed and technique. maybe other gyms approach sparring differently but personally if you aint learning whats the point save the bad intentions for fight night.

Im 32 and most of the cats who spar and are worth sparring with are much younger then I am. So I get in and go a few... They do tend to be much quicker then the guys my age I spar with.. They really do not have the power or mental toughness though it seems.. They do tend to get discouraged and shocked when you land something nice. I'll admit though most of the competitive younger cats i have moved with are a touch lighter 10 pounds, sometimes 20... So they naturally can't hit as hard, I guess its an equalizer that they are faster and I hit harder when I need to.. But they do tire me out quite a bit... The more you mix with the better though, young, old, bigger smaller, whatever.... Bring it on.

age doesnt really matter in sparring as long as theyre similar size and ability
