February 1st, 2012 Pavlik, #2 WBO, #5 WBA, #6 WBC, is also now ranked higher than Froch in the super middleweight division. Froch seems to have been dropped from the rankings for some reason. http://www.boxingnews24.com/2012/02/pavlik-thinks-he-can-ko-froch-frampton-could-fight-on-martinez-macklin-undercard-on-317/ He'll do fine without Froch. :good No one said the system is fair.
Rankings on previous exploits in the MW division. Never been a champ in the SMW division, never beaten a champ in the SMW division and never will be a champ in the SMW division. Once a drunk...always a drunk!!! Froch will be fine without him.:good Froch is a throwback and is a credit to boxing, just cos Pavlik runs his mouth means his next in line, give me a break:hi:
Your lack of comprehension doesn't surprise me. Pavlik doesn't need Froch. Period. Did you hear what Kelly actually said nerf ball? A Froch fan accusing any other fighter of running their mouth? :rofl
I have to give it to you:happy:happy:happy:happy Comprehension at its greatest. Pavlik fights in the SMW division but does not need to fight Froch Top 3 in division. Carry on fighting bums then:good:good:good:good
The reason why I expect Pavlik to lose to Froch whether it was the Taylor Pavlik or not is because of Froch's ability to exchange and box if necessary. Pavlik is obviously a one-dimensional fighter who can barely cut-off the ring when necessary. Froch will surely attempt to exchange, if he's unsuccessful he would immediately be on the move and box and it won't be difficult at all to outbox Pavlik to a UD. Even with his jab Pavlik is far too predictable, even his jab setups are beyond predictable, I fully expect Froch to expect the many limitations Pavlik obviously has. To be fair regarding the Taylor fights, the first fight Taylor punched his way to exhaustion, it was Pavlik's punch resistance, stamina and power that outlasted and stopped Taylor. In the rematch, Taylor did a great job boxing but was clearly intimidated at some points and never threw enough to conserve energy. Even by doing so Pavlik nearly stopped him late in the fight after landing a solid body shot, it's not exactly easy for a fighter to come-back from a devastating KO especially when it's his first. The fight with Martinez pretty much exposed Pavlik's defense and one-dimensional tendencies. At some point during that fight Pavlik completely ignored his jab and stopped cutting off the ring in frustration, only to be pummeled during the process. If Martinez was able to slice Pavlik to pieces, I expect Froch to do far worse considering Froch's size, power, punch resistance and stamina. We both know Martinez' stamina isn't the best and he was forced to take certain rounds off because of it yet got away with it. I fully expect Froch to pummel the hell out of Pavlik not because I dislike him but stylistically that's my expectation, whether it was the Pavlik against Taylor or whatever, his style won't change regardless.
Pavlik doesn't need Froch to bootstrap bigger fights in the division Nimrod. You really don't understand. If Froch loses to Kessler again, likely, it will be Froch looking for a name. Who's left after the SS for him? That's right, maybe Pavlik. Who hasn't Pavlik fought at SMW? That's right, everybody. Froch's choices for big fights will be pretty limited. Kessler, Bute then who? Ward don't care. He won't fight Dirrell again. So who would be left? Duh.....
I do understand and STILL think that Froch does not need Pavlik and answered this threads question about him ducking Pavlik. Currently Froch and Pavlik are on way different paths and Carl may go to LHW and try and win a title up there against Cleverly which has been mentioned. You are an idiot and totally contradict yourself... you should rename yourself HELMET!!!:good:good:good
Keep swinging on Pavliks NUTS!!! Froch does not duck anyone and you are embarrassing yourself!!!!atsch
if it makes you feel better then yes.. Froch has worked hard to be where he is at. Something pavlik proved he couldn't quite maintain. Living clean and taking boxing seriously is the only way to gain respect and get the big fights. Froch said he was going to retire if he lost against bute and I doubt at present kelly pavlik is even a fragment of his thinking.. Agreed this could change but for now i see froch fighting kessler, bute (if he has to )and then looking for a shot against maybe ward again. Maybe pav can put himself into serious contention by then, equally i wouldn't be surprised if froch looses along the way and decides enough is enough.
Considering the competition Froch has faced it makes all the sense in the world for him to be ducking a knob like Pavlik.
I just can't see the problem when all pavlik is trying to do is reignite his career. If I were pav I would be telling reporters that I aim serious and want the best fighters in the division, why else would he bother? I fully respect him for this and hope he can lay off the pop and bring his exciting style back to the fore.
