    Good post.
But for me all three are G's,and on a personal level Marco tops my preference of the three.
Some people can't accept that it's possible to admire Barrera and Morales.

barrera wasn't right on prime, but wasn't too far removed from it either.

i give credit to pac for this win because it was a great one. BUT, i remember barrera was there for the taking at the time. he had just gone flat. he was using his boxing a lot more because i suspected he couldn't bring the fire anymore. i was proven right.

a fighter that kept a high tempo would of beaten him pretty easily i thought. i wasn't sure if pac was that fighter because he was coming up in weight and had been quite erratic in the past, but got in there and absolutely destroyed marco. he didn't stand a chance.

that was the coming out party for the pac man. and the beginning of the end for the great barrera. so yes, it was a great performance, and a great win. but as i've said before, barrera was there for the taking. it just happened to be the pac man that was in the right place at the right time.

All of this focus seems to be strictly on Barrera and if he was in his prime. What about Pacquiao? Was he in his prime? Nope. He was further from his prime than Barrera was. Fact of the matter is Barrera was getting the best results of his career inside of the ring and what he did in the years after getting demolished by Pac proves had plenty left in the tank.

He wasn't exactly at his prime but still close enough to it,He was close enough for Pac to still get credit for a huge win

I think the more important question is does Pac beat a prime Mab? I think so. Was Pac really in his prime yet? I don't think so

I agree with you. I think Mayweather beat Cotto out of his second prime and now Cotto is no longer in his prime.

Just the threat of Mayweather who can easily make 130 tomorrow made Barerra slip out of his prime. So all in all, Mayweather deserves credit for beating a prime Barrera without even fighting him.

i think in a few decades when these fights will be discussed in the classic section of the forum, people will realise how gifted JMM is, its a huge disappointment when fighters don't get the deserve or have a tough time getting fights.

    Prime as a steak.

Before and after the first Pac fight, he showed a string of really top notch performances.

    Absolutely.

It was also the same reason Pacquaio entered the p4p list because of that fight. MAB was highly regarded and there was no reason whatsoever that he was on the decline prior to that fight, or he was past his prime.

And at 27, I don't think anyone can be termed past his prime with that age, at least physically.
