Really? Well...let's see: 1. Margarito was really ****ed up and had to spend a few days in the hospital as well as undergo several operations - and this after Pac let up on him in the 11th round and coasted to victory. Pac could have ended Margaritos career that night had he been without mercy. 2. Clotty showed up at the fight but wouldn't engage - he put himself in a shell like some tortise and stayed there the entire fight. What was Pac to do - give Clotty a few free punches so he'll come out of his shell? 3. Mosley gets knocked down in the 3rd round and then runs like hell for the next 9 rounds - he wouldn't engage either! What is Pac to do...look like an Assclown running around the ring chasing Mosley down? It would have been a shameful spectacle. All of his fights at welterweight show one thing: if you engage Manny you'll either get knocked out or seriously hurt. JMM was the exception - the guy is just that great.
Margarito is a ****ing walking punchbag. Accumulation of punches did the damage there, as it did with Cotto for the most part, and Oscar.. Pacquiao just throws so many punches. Sure he put shane down, but you could see he was just stunned. I see that as a recurring thing with Pacquiao. It's the speed of the punches moreso than the power. Fighters are stunned by it early in fights and often momentarily hurt, but as the fights go on, they tend to adjust and take it better (JMM 1 a perfect example). I don't believe his power at 147 is exceptional. No moreso than a lot of fighters at the weight at least. Bradley is quicker than he's given credit it for. Gets in and out quickly, and has a decent chin. I don't see a "KTFO!" happening. Another late accumulation stoppage is possible though.
