I think Trout would befuddle and frustrate ALvarez for much of the fight but ultimately end up getting KO'd. I didn't like how he reacted to some of Rodriguez's pressure but then again he handled David Lopez like it wasn't a thing. Don't base your opinion on Trout on his last fight, he's better than what he showed vs Delvin. Trout would be a live underdog. 60-40 in favour of Alvarez..... upset meter at an 8.5 out of a possible 10 here though!!!

trout would have some great defensive moments and would bag some rounds but would ultimately be beaten up. I dont know if he gets stopped, but he gets beaten on, especially to the body. he didnt show me anything against delvin rodriguez, a fighter good in his own right and an unbelievable entertainer, but someone canelo would have honestly beaten down.

I thought it was a mandatory, trout is not the #1 to Canelo, Lara is... Time to swim with the sharks or gtfo of the water...

I think it will be a good, competitive fight. Trout has a style that would give any 154lber fits, but lacks real firepower like a Lara, Angulo, or Kirkland might present to Canelo. I think both are good fighters that need to prove themselves and will.

Seems like slick black finally got behind trout before they didn't even know who he was. Shame.

Interesting poll before the whole feasting on a blown up cotto and trout was unable to hurt him with such a huge size advantage, those pillow fists will not even bother canelo.

I favor Canelo only because he is a future cash cow and will be given the edge in close rounds as he advances. Trout's southpaw jab and movement is certainly the toughest test he'll have faced.

Pretty much this. Canelo might get a generous decision as a judge or two will pull the "but he was the guy coming forward" crap.

things have changed since this poll came out:
Trout went to defeat #1 ranked Cotto while Canelo is still fighting bloated welters, or jr welters.
i have no elements to endorse Canelo anymore since he hasnt beaten any jr MW of relevance yet...or almost nobody at jr MW.
Trout however is a different story.

Canelo is much fresher than Cotto similar style though, a bit heavier handed IMO naturally a Jr Middleweight.
Miguel was able to find a home for them left hooks up top and some to the body, Canelos work rate should be much higher as I believe Miguel is just done boxing he doesnt have it anymore the fire is gone. Canelo is just getting started with that said the Left hooks that did land on behalf of Cotto did occasionally hurt or stun Trout.
Canelos left hook is no cup cake, I see this being close early, but after the 5th Canelos body work should allow for him to take over and separate himself from Trout.

However this could also be a disaster for Canelo if mentally he doesnt keep it together, this is a man who beat the **** out of his brother in Mexico, I expect him to want to avenge his brother, he must keep them emotions in Check because if he allows Austin to get going early he will lose this fight.

    I like Canelo Late TKO
