When Froch came out to No Easy Way Out the fight was over right there. The power of Rocky music always does the job.

Nah, the man couldn't adapt after getting hurt and as a result Froch finished him. Yes being in against a crowd mostly favoring your opponent can change things but they can't fight the battle for your opponent. At the end they're professionals and Bute not adapting after getting hurt or "letting neves get to him" is his fault.

when you fight at home, people support you. when you fight elsewhere, people are against you. the experienced and mentally tough fighter however, does not let that phase him.

I don't spend a lot of time here and the reason for that is the number of morons that start idiotic threads. This doesn't seem to be the case here as I see an honest attempt to analyze what happened in this fight rather than come up with insults about boxers and people posting here in general. As a long-time Bute fan I feel I need to clarify some of the so called strange" behaviour:

    1. When he walks in and the very first time the camera pans at him he has a strange look on his face - Probably because his song was changed he ALWAYS comes in to "Where the streets have no name by U2|; instead the organizers picked another song for whatever reason
    2. The Romanian flag incident...that was funny...for a second I thought he was going to pick it up but he stared at it for what seemed to be an eternity...I think he wanted to pick it up and then realized that it is impossible to do that with his gloves on...:) Anyone that puts boxing gloves on regularly knows what I mean
    3. On why he was nodding when he was looking at the camera...he always does that during the anthems - Also sometimes he just stares at teh lens - I have no explanation for that (yes that is weird :))
    4. As to why he had a bewildered look on his face when the anthems ended - The organizers messed up again. They were supposed to play the Romanian anthem and the Canadian anthem. They played the Romanian antherm and halfway through the Canadian anthem they stopped it...right in the middle of it :) Bute and his trainer was like "WTF???"

Anyways I don't think any of these fators caused him to lose the fight. The reason he lost in my opinion is a combination of bad tactics, totally underestimating Froch who came in in the best shape of his life, huge problems in making the weight (not many know this but it was in the Romanian media) and possibly overtraining. I do not want to mention the toe infection and the fact that he was on antibiotics for 2 weeks but as a fan that watched all Bute's professional fights, you have to wonder why in only this fight he had absolutely no footwork...

Anyways that is my take on it.

That type of asskicking goes way beyond hometown advantage or nerves. It's a gulf in skill and physicality. To me it's much like Pac/Cotto. One guy was simply too much to handle for the other guy.

No, he had this coming the moment he stepped in the ring with a top fighter. Bute is such an overrated fighter that it hilarious. He flat out sucks. :deal

  11. yes good post by Bailey

    Almost Taylorswift Caliber.

People who say Bute is **** are ******ed moron ****s who don't know boxing.

Bute ****ed up because of nerves and a general lack of practice against better competition. He got legit talent and skills, he will make a comeback.

Also just because Froch beat Bute don't mean Ward beat Bute. That is moronic and stupid.

Golota was demolished by Lennox in ONE ROUND

Golota raped Bowe back to back

so Lewis KO Bowe ROUND 1?

Fine by me. . But it dont work like that

One punch can change a fight. Not that I expect anyone here to overreact on the basis on the basis of one fight. Not here. Never happen.

Yeah, it would throw a spanner in the works if Bute looked amazing in a rematch and clearly won

The part you mention about overtraining is interesting. I wonder if Bute was so eager to put on a good show away that he did things a bit different or harder than he normally does, which has worked so well for him previously in training
