Chagaev. Failing that, Povetkin or Thompson. Maskaev/Peter winner would be the best but we all know that's not going to happen.
I'd like to see him fight Vitali ! After the boreathon of his last few fights I think this is the only box office fight left for him.
Chagaev is pretty much a carbon copy of Ibragimov only with less speed. I don't think we could bear another snooze-fest with a tentative counterpunching southpaw.... Besides, I hear Chagaev refuses to even discuss unification. He plans on sitting on his belt for as long as he can. Don't count of Chagaev. I voted Povetkin, because I'd like to see Wlad reestablish his KO artist image among the public.
Valuev or Haye, HW's **** at the moment, it's just the same names and the same low expectations (especially after Saturday).
I think I want WK to fight Chagaev. He might be a little slower than Ibragimov, though my impression from just a few fights that I´ve seen is that he throws straighter counterpunches than Sultan who really loops them. Chagaev impressed me a bit versus Valuev, while Sultan left me cold versus Briggs. Style makes fights...but I think Chagaev could bring at least a slightly different game.
Of course I prefer unification but if Chagaev is not available I want to see him in the ring as soon as possible against whoever is available, even if it only Thompson. And with "soon" I don't mean like in 6 months.
Present version of AG may not be a match for Wlad. But on the other hand if he puts a lot of pressure on Klit like he's eager to do lately then who knows what the outcome would be. Golota still has good stamina, decent skills and maybe unlike Iggy comes to fight so you just never know... Besides if you're expecting a comedy from Andrew that is unlikely to happen. The guy seems to have finally matured. I don't expect him to foul or quit even when in trouble. Just watch his last bout with Mollo. He didn't loose his cooling till the end despite having his eye swollen shut and Mollo's dirty tactics.
I'd like Sultan, but that fight is improbable. Would like to see Wlad against someone his own size vs Thompson
I think Thompson would be someone worth pursuing. He's a big guy so not an elusive target and, while he's a southpaw, he tends to be a come-forward banger. The type you would expect Wladimir to look good against, while at the same time getting his WBO mandatory out of the way. It does make sense to me (though Chagaev would still be my #1).
It would be cool to see him fight Chagaev. But that won't happen. He will fight Tony Thompson or Alex Povetkin.
I voted for Thompson only because i think it can be made in short order....Thompson should be the easiest to negotiate a fight with. The bottom line is Klitschko needs to fight again within 3 to 4 months. He has no excuses for not fighting more often!!! Hey Farmboxer you seem to be in with the Klitschko insiders, so what is with Klitschko not fighting more often? He needs to have the "Joe Louis Bum of the Month Club.".... Anyway, I am a big fan of Klitschko but I am totally disgusted with his lack fighting...once every six months is not nearly enough when he doesn't even get hit! He dominates completely and therefore needs to fight more often!!!
