And you are right, Mike Jones needs to step up soon. In fact, he needs to move to 154 and fight the guys there. Big dude for 147, and he looks like hes busting at the seems.

 

Mike Jones put on a dissapointing effort against Bruseles, and needed 2 fights to cleanly beat Soto Karass; the same Soto Karass that lost to Gomez, Freddy Hernandez and who got destroyed in 5 rounds by Rosado. Jones is not ready for the big time. Top Rank is doing right by him for now. I know that he's 29 now, but you still can't rush him.

 

He might get crushed by Bailey if he lands. Bailey can KO anyone.

 

Says who? He hasn't taken much punishment. There's nothing saying a guy can't hit his stride in his early to mid 30's. If he's impressive against Bailey, they should shoot for a mid level guy, and then a guy like Berto. If he can handle guys like that, then he might be ready for the big time. However, when guys like Soto Karass are troubling you, you need more seasoning.

why do so many philly fighters get their jaws shattered? mike jones, tyrone brunson, hank lundy, etc. philly's only hopes are danny garcia and gabriel rosado.
