Decent comeback fight for Bute. Shouldn't be too difficult for him. Pavlik is still somewhat of a name but he doesn't have much left.

Even in his prime, Pavlik probably wasn't a match for Bute. He's too one dimensional.

I'd root for kelly under any circumstances against any super middleweight, but the fact that bute's considering kelly pavlik tune up for his rematch with froch makes me root for kelly even more. either way, it's a great crossroads matchup where bombs will be landed.

Now that's a fight I'd look forward to.
Wee bit early for Kelly perhaps although if there's ever a time to face Bute it's now.

Fight would make a lot of sense for both guys, good fight if it happens. I'd guess its in Canada but you never know. At their best Pavlik beats Bute, at this point I don't know what Pavlik has left, so its hard to predict who wins.

I'd guess Canada would make the most money and I doubt Bute would want to fight away from home on his next outing. Still, Pavlik seems like a strange choice for his next fight. How is the Froch/Kessler rematch coming? Anyone know?

i would think pavlik and his team would have had enough fighting dangerous fighters coming off a loss. wanted williams but fought martinez who just lost to williams. wanted calzaghe but fought hopkins who just lost to calzaghe. wants froch but is going to fight...

yeah i don't see it happening. target froch

If Pavlik can do the unthinkable and fully return to form from his KO1 loss to Jim Beam, he will Shatter Bute's Glass Jaw all over the place. But, if Bute decides to box cute and Pavlik is a shadow of himself as I suspect, he could be made to look stupid. Also, after drinking himself into oblivion it is quite possible that he has a Glass Liver which would not be a good attribute when facing Bute.

How much is Pavlik going to earn with this one ? Yeah because that superstar doesn't fight for peanuts. :hat

    Agree with the first paragraph.

Disagree with the second. Pavlik actually beat a top boxer in Taylor, twice. Bute fought one top guy and got mauled.

  15. Bute has one of the worst Chins in the sport. Although Plodder Pavlik is a bullet-domed tatooed hoodlum, he could well connect and send shards of Bute's Glass Jaw flying all over the ring and beyond.:deal

The thing is though, whilst Bute is a mover, I have seen wardrobes with better turning circles than Pavlik. :rofl

These wholly irrefutable intangibles make for an intriguing matchup.
