Looks like Canelo may be defending his title against Victor Ortiz in September. What are everyone thoughts on this fight?

I think this is a good fight. These two are only 1 division apart, there isn't much difference in size, and both are generally exciting fighters.

An interesting fight, but it would be better if Canelo actually fought at top Five, 154 fighter.

If this fight does happen, I expect Victor to be bigger than Canelo on fight night. I know he just moved up but Vic is one big welter.

So is Vic's upcoming fight gonna get cancelled??
(Or are the genius matchmakers over at GBP counting chickens?)

Sugar Shot Mosley was throwing rubbery punches with no snap and still gave Canelo issues, if this is true expect Ortiz to dominate and impose his will on Canelo

154 is stacked there is no reason these fights shouldn't be happening.

Oh Ortiz ass needs to move up ASAP, he easily be one of the bigger fighters at that division

Hahahahaha I feel your pain bro...
Lara Vs. Vanes (How ever you spell his last name) should duke it out.
(For the title of "I should be next Vs. Alvarez dammit")

Good ****.... could be a WAR...

    But I prefer Trout.. unify.

Ortiz needs to prove himself at 154 first.

All those names and he's fighting Mosley old ass, who never look good at 154, Canelo is a B class fighter until proven otherwise

Its not a bad fight but I'd prefer to see Alvarez face a top 154 guy instead of Ortiz but I can definitely see this fight happening.

The problem is GBP is sticking with ppv for this fight and with that Ortiz is probably their best option at the moment.

Regular HBO/Showtime would open the door to a lot of solid fighters at 154 but ppv means they need a big name and Ortiz is one of the biggest available for that date.
