    If a bodybuilder stopped working out, and restricted his caloric intake, he would lose muscle he built up first, before he would lose fat.

    When somebody else who is actually fit, and knows what they're talking about. . They will come in here and explain that when your body is depleted, it will turn to lean muscle mass before it will turn to stored up fat. . .

    Why do you think it's so damn hard to build muscle, and lose fat? But so easy to get fat?

    Your body, as a survival mechanism, views stored up fat as good, and built up muscle mass as bad. . . If you stopped eating, it would EAT YOUR MUSCLE MASS first, AND THEN your stored up fat second. . .

    If somebody can tell me that you'll preferentially metabolise skeletal muscle during periods of energy restriction (which would completely contradict what my uni units and textbooks claim) demonstrating any sort of scientific proof then I'll personally hand them a cheque for $10000. How's that for you little fella?

    HAHAH this idiot is talking about eating 1200 calories a day while undertaking a rigorous exercise regime? NO WAY you will gain muscle? Unless you're like a 90 pound kid. . . You will burn fat, sure, but you'll also burn a lot of muscle. .

    I did not mean squats three times per week, I meant squats as included in leg exercises 3x a week. . . INCLUDING RUNNING as a "leg exercise."


    So jog, skip rope, do sprints one day. . . Do squats, deadlifts, and some power jumps two days later. . Then another variation of leg training two days later :good
