Fighting every 6-9 months. Mayweather would have tittles at 130,135,140,147,154 and 160.

 

Are you ****ing serious? That's a hell of a lot to ask. No offense, but we didn't get make guys like SRL go through all theses requirements to be considered ATG. 6 more fights at 147; unify 154 (at least 5 or 6 fights all together); and beat the best middleweight? Please tell me he would be the greatest if he were to do this?

 

Are you ****ing ******ed Pavlik is a very big middleweight (160), Flyod started out at superfeatherweight (130) and is now a somewhat undersized welterweight (147). Every person you mentioned actually outsizes Flyod by a good margin. Flyod doesn't need to do anything, you should stop critizing and living through others accomplishments.

 

Your right that is a huge task for Mayweither to pull off. However if he were to do all of that. I can't see why anyone wouldn't have him in their top 5 atg list and posibily #1 atg.

 

If you want him to be great then what the **** has he done to even be considered great. He has'nt even been usdisputed in more than one weight class. I've never heard him introduced as undisputed like holyfield, tyson, lewis, hopkins and so on. its people like you that make it debatable. Nuthuggers that think no matter who he fights its ok if he wins. Winning against second rate fighters does not bring greatness, dont use the word and his name in the same sentence until he deserves it.

 

I think Floyd's resume is pretty solid as it is. My only pick for a last big fight would be Cotto. He's already moved up in weight enough times to stretch himself thin as it is, therefore ascending to the middleweight ranks would be a foolish and unnecessary move. Fighting Delahoya a second time is only hurting his legacy if anyone asks me.

 

He has won 6 world titles in 5 different weightclasses.

winning 6 titles in 5 weight classes, taking a big risk everytime he moves up, and at the end of the day still being undefeated is enough for me to confirm his greatness. Dominating a single division is OK, but if the talent is minimal then it doesn't mean that much.

 

Let me tell you this if shane mosley had the exact same fights that floyd mayweather has at the same age then you would not even know floyds name because he would have dominated all of them and ko'ed more of them than floyd.

What do " what if's " have to do with Mayweather's accomplishements? Whatever Mosley failed to do is his problem. Right now Mayweather is 40-0, a 6 time title claimant, and coming off a very good win over a worthy opponent in Ricky Hatton.
