I don't think they were way off, but a fight with 3 scorecards like that should be considered a draw (regardless of the final scores.) It was a much closer fight than the idiots on television were saying, not poor judging.
The fight reminded me of De la Hoya - Trinidad in the way that it was a tale of two halves. Pacquiao was busy and winning the first half of the fight, and he seemed to coast during the second half of the fight, and he ended up on the short end of a decision. I thought it was a close fight, and I look forward to a rematch.
Yes the cards were way off, you do not know how score fights at all. 116-112 should have been the lowest the score.
Round 5 is one of the biggest question marks to me. I can't see how any ethical judge can give Tim the 5th.
