The only major challenge that I see Floyd not taking right now is probably Cotto. Other than that, moving through 5 weight classes and winning titles in all of them without acquiring a single loss is pretty impressive in my opinion. He certainly has my vote as the game's p4p best at the moment. Does that mean he will still have my vote in a year? No. A lot can happen between now and then. But for the moment, I'd say he has a lot to be proud of.

    Cotto and Mosley

The Cotto fight HAS to happen in my mind before I'd be okay with Floyd retiring. IF he retires before facing Cotto, I think that really hurts him.

I like Floyd and think he is great but he has to fight Cotto for his legacy. A 27 year old prime welter like Cotto, coming off a big win over Mosley.......it has to be Cotto.

And after that, I really think he should fight Mosley. Mosley would give him another big legacy win (ala DLH) and I think would still be a good fight as Mosley still looks good and looks like he has a fair amount left in the tank (not prime but formidable still). Would love to see that fight.

And if he were to fight both Cotto and Mosley and win? He'd have every right to retire in my book. I woudn't blame Floyd for not fighting Cintron, Margorito, or P. Willaims.....good fighters but not must fights like Cotto his.

Floyd is 31 now after all, and I can certainly see that he'd love to retire unbeaten.

But he needs Cotto for his legacy. If he were to win there, go to Mosley and then I'd be more than satisfied with his resume.

But of course like anyone else....I'd love to see Floyd fight longer and try and clean out 147 and possibly even move up to 154.

But he has to fight Cotto.

Duran fought Hagler and did pretty well.

I dont see why PBF couldnt fight Pavlic if he wanted to. I dont expect him to do it, but he could if he wanted to.

Miguel Cotto. That is the only fight left.

Other names could be Mosley, Spinks, Margarito, Williams. But they are not neccessary.

Kelly Pavlik? Mayweather doesn't have to fight him. I would be a loss in his record. Duran lost clearly against Hagler, and anyone who watches that fight can see that it wasn't close.

Delusional? What is delusional about 11 fights over 6-8 years? That would make him 38-40 years old which is not that old for an athlete in this day and age. Beating Cotto who's bigest wins are aganst Judah and Mosley both very talented but neather were still in their primes when the faced Cotto. this is asumeing that he beats Gomez. and Mosley who lost his last three major fights. How is that going to going to encrese Mayweather's place in hstory?
Fighting at 154 and 160 will not seem so odd as he gets older. Nature will take it's course. He won't be 147lbs for ever.
