Do you agree that Pacquiao was extremely gracious after the defeat?

I know he's a nice guy anyway, but he congratulated Bradley and said it's his decision if he wants to fight him in November, in a rematch.

Pac is a class act. he stayed to give bradley his props even if he knew that he won and said that he respect the judges decision. he even signalled his fans who were booing the decision to calm down and it's ok.

He might have been in on the fix and had some time to prepare himself for it.

Either way, he's still a homophobic piece of ****.

I don't think he actually hates all gays.

    Only against gay marriage.

Being against gay marriage IS being homophobic. There is no logical reason to be against it. It's blind prejudice, mostly peddled by religious morons.

How has this turned into gay talk after only 3 posts.

He was very gracious. I think in his mind he knows he should of done more and there is a rematch and im not even sure if this loss really hurts anything in his career other than his pride. And on top of all this in this age of boxing a controversial result is no longer a shock.

    I don't think so.

Many people here in the Philippines have accepted the gays, moreso now than before.

No one's kicking their ass for being gay, like it was decades ago.

Many respected gays and lesbians now.

But gay marriage is not supported here, and even the conservative section of LGBT community here knows it's a longshot to be passed here, anytime soon.

The Philippines is kinda conservatve, even divorce between heterosexual married couple is having trouble getting passed. And will probably be that way for at least 5, maybe 10 more years.

People should think about where Pac is coming from.

    Off topic, sorry.

It sounds like your point is that people in the Philippines are ignorant and bigoted. I don't disagree.

If they were logical and tolerant then they'd overwhelmingly be in favour of homosexual marriage rights.

Again... there is no valid, sensible reason to be against it.

I would say conservative, old fashioned, and devoutly roman catholic.
Especially the people in the rural towns and small cities, and also the people who hold the power to make the laws. (Congress and senate)

A lot of resistance for big changes.

Like a lot of Latin American, Catholic countries.

We don't behead them like in the middle east, at least.

People don't really hate gays here as much as before.
They're pretty cool now. Some gay/lesbian couples living in the open now.

But gay marriage is a loooong shot.
