I really believe that Povetkin (whatever his name is ) is the best out there. However he really isn't ready to fight Vlad. Although, if he loses it would not be too bad for him. Sam Peter will probably get beat up by Vitali. and he will have to move up the ladder again to fight vlad. Valuev will get his rematch and could win. This whole thing will not be ironed out for years. If Peter has to fight Povetkin before he fights Vlad again he will lose. I really donot know if Peter could beat Iggy. Has anyone ever thought that perhaps Vlad didn't really want to knock Iggy out after the ninth round he may like him

Ha the only thing Golota is going to do is throw a couple of low blows get his ass beat until the 4th round then bite a shoulder throw in a couple of rabbit punches and quit before the start of round 5, and most likely have ketchup thrown on him on his way out of the ring. :good

You guys are very confident that Peter will defeat Maskaev. Dont forget Maskaev can punch and if he lands anything close to what Mc'Cline landed Peter is going to be on his ass for the full 10 count.

Vlad will fight his mandatory Povetkin, gold medalist. Then he will fight Toney Thompson in defense of his WBO title, etc., he is cleaning out the top ten, one by one.

He should be able to accomplish this (Povetkin and Thompson) in 6 months time at the most!!! Then he needs to fight the winner of Chagaev and Valuev by the end of the year....less excuses and more fights....:good

Very good post! They should keep the ball running. Nobody will loose in a unification fight as the marketability of the defeated will increase regardless of the loss. It is a question of honor. Later they can say: Hey, we did it (the boxers and the promoters)!
IMHO Kohl is addicted to the boxing drama and to the $$$ as well - he can be convinced... and WK is his own promoter.
BTW: Forget the sanctioning bodies - unification fights are on a higher level.

The dirty aspect of the Peter Wlad fight was the clinching and clamping on then leaning on Peters back by Wlad, any punches behimd Wlads head were as a result of him lunging in to grab and turning his back in fear.

That ref should never be allowed to ref again.
