From a financial standpoint, what's sad is he's absolutely ****ing right. The rematch would do much better numbers and that crooked mother****er Arum will be laughing all the way to the bank.

It's not good for boxing. But it's damn good for the bank accounts of Arum, Bradley, and to an extent Pacquiao because he'll get another monster payday for beating a guy he clearly beat already.

 

Iole would have a point if this fight sold well but it didn't and I hardly think a **** ending will make people tune in by much more.

I would expect less ppv buys the second time around. The casual fans that purchased last nights ppv definitely wont be investing their money for the rematch.

 

Not when the controversy is a plain as day robbery. People know pacman really won so I wouldn't expect much interest in the rematch.

 

Like I said. If the fight initially sold well, yea I can see it. I don't think it did.

 

I think the point it was making is that this isn't the death knell of boxing because controversy sells. And usually, it does.

But I do agree with you in that most sporting fans usually are used to an honest outcome in most sports in that the athlete that performed the best during the actual event is deemed the winner. With boxing, you don't get that and that's why the sport gets a black eye. Very subjective and a lot of things can go awry in either an obvious, subtle, or shadowy kind of way.
