Pac-Floyd is so 2010. I've been saying **** dat **** in the past 2 years, Floyd a LMW now and Sexy is his career fight while Pac is well fed with these LWW dudes, Khan to step up soon. Ship has sailed, Bradley decision didn't change much.
Not to true fans of the sport, it isn't. Everybody knows that Pac won that fight, so what really changes? How many people by the PPV? Who gives a ****? They aren't fans.
I have been saying this all along... This fight will the = to Leonard Vs. Duran III (The fighters are there but why??)
It might actually be bad for boxing now because so many casual fans will tune in expecting a superfight but what they will get in reality is a rapidly declining Pacquiao being thoroughly outboxed in a one sided fight. Boxing fans should never forget how Mayweather, Pacquiao and Arum deprived us of this fight when it mattered, it would have been ****ing brilliant in 2009/2010.
With all due respect it became an irrelevence when the bells brought in 2011. And it was heading that way for most of 2010.
dipsheet, TB fought at 152 and welterweight at the beginning of his career. He went down to 140 because he knew he couldn't hang with the punchers.
It is and sadly has been for some time. **** 'em anyway. The whole circle jerk merry go round they put boxing fans through was ******ed.
The perfect time for it was early 2010, just after Pac had beaten up Cotto and Mayweather had boxed circles around Marquez. Now both guys have visibly faded, and we've debated about the fight so many times that it has become dull. Pac's interests have shifted to politics and religion, and he's probably going to retire soon. Mayweather is in jail, and there really aren't any good fights awaiting him when he returns. Gah.
