Bradley's chin is actually pretty ****ing good. He got dropped at 140 and showed signs of having a weak chin. Many posters and chincheckers were claiming him to be a glass jawed fraud, some even saying he would be out cold ala Hatton. But last night Timothy Bradley proved us all wrong. Don't get me wrong, I scored the fight to Pacquaio 8-4. Pac was landing that left hand WITHOUT FAIL. Every time he threw it it landed flush on the chin of Timothy Bradley and, while he was hurt at several times in the fight, he never went down. I said to myself from as early as the second round; "Tim is going to taste the canvas at least once in this fight." I am wrong and glad to be wrong, Bradley seems to have a genuinely good chin. Highly respected poster and chin analysist, MetalMandible, brought the idea to mind that perhaps what happened last night is similar to the case of Miguel Cotto. At 140, Cotto's chin was weak. Very weak. He made the move up to 147 and suddenly had a pretty decent chin. Is that what happened with Bradley? How would you rate Timmeh's cheen? Vote away! This content is protected
Pac should have worked on his rangefinder jab. That punch ahs been known to rock heavyweights, and it surely can put a welter to sleep.
Lost in all the hoopla,I think Bradley showed he has a great chin. Pac was hittin that dome with some flush shots,Manny's power might be a little overated, but I respect it enough to think if he tagging you all night in trades, you not gonna make it. Thoughts?
The Primetime commentators wouldn't stop going on about how he was one punch away from being knocked out cold from the 4th round on. Terrible balance btw probs the reason for his busted feet, squares up way too much too.
No question he took some hurtful left hands that probably could have ended many guys nights. He has balls and guts a plenty, nobody can take that away from him, he never stopped trying in the fight, but he didn't really win the fight. He's a really good fighter, but not elite, if he had power, he'd likely be something special.
Very true PB. I switched from watching on HBO to primetime half way through to try and avoid the unbelievably **** commentary. I wish I didn't as they had that glass jawed **** Amir Khan on whining away.
Amir Khan was an annoying twat. Fair play I had Pac winning clearly but he was giving absolutely no credit to Bradley whatsoever, I think Tim getting the robbery has overshadowed a half decent performance overall.
