Are you planning to rewatch the fight anytime? if you do, i'd like you to come back to this thread with a second opinion. They didn't credit Bradley with nothing bro, not a thing.
I watched the fight again had Pac winning 8-4. So how does that make it the biggest robbery in boxing history? The marquez fight was just a bigger robbery on my scorecard. Max Pac won in that fight was 4 rounds.
dealdeal Disgusting biased ****s. I put it on mute after a few rounds, and saw a COMPLETELY different fight than most of the people on here crying robbery I hear they did the same with the JMM 3 fight (i had the Sky Sports feed which was very good and impartial) And the short highlight reel they showed before the result was announced - EVERY clip was of Pacquiao landing - they didnt show A SINGLE Bradley punch Disgusting biased ****s :-(
I almost feel like downloading the Marquez fight just to hear how bad they were. Is this a common thing with HBO? do they always side dramatically with one fighter or is it just exclusive to Manny?
Yeah, HBO was bad on Saturday but it was one of those fights that seemed over by the 9th round or so and then the commentary kinda went into cruise control(kinda like Manny). One of the problems I have with shitting too much on HBO is that other commentary I've seen is worse....much worse.
The main issue with the HBO commentating team is that they all have stock in Manny and in Julio Jr. Me and my mates had a huge debate on it and this one guy was raging so hard because he was a Jim Lamprey Fan. His responses were harilous lol http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/member.php?u=91375 Raging over the internet=
Jim Lampley needs to stick to doing play-by-play. By the **** he was coming out with on saturday, he's no boxing expert. He was calling shots for Pacquiao that didn't even land.
They sometimes appear to have a bias but I think it's more of a problem with fights like Saturdays with Manny dominating the first half of the fight and then still doing fairly well in the closing rounds. If Bradley had some clear definitive rounds in the bank or the power to really turn a fight around, I'm sure it wouldn't have been the Pac love fest the whole fight. I seen dissent from one of the commentators or Lederman on the cards before in fights but the fact they all had Manny ahead by a huge margin only added to the perceived bias.
I completely agree. They only do this with Pacquiao. It's sickening. Lederman is no better. 11-1 scorecard in favor of Pacquiao. Maybe he's the next figure in boxing that should be considering retirement. I had it a draw and have little doubt that Bradley will win the rematch. Those last 4-5 rounds, Bradley showed everyone exactly what he is made of. He's better than I originally gave him credit for. Props to both guys, it was a damn good fight.
Still leaves a lot of questions un answered, such as why they just went dead silent when Bradley landed a few punches? regardless of whos winning on the scorecards they should at least acknowledge when a fighter lands a clear punch, no? I mean in the last round, where Pacquiao did basically nothing, they had to resort to talking about how big his calves were because he wasn't throwing any punches
I aint seen the fight yet, will watch it tonight but from the Pacquio v JMM third fight HBO were a disgrace. They gave JMM nothing!! Lederman is the worst. He acted like JMM was doing nothing, it was laughable.
This is some real funny ****. Go back and watch the fight again. Listen carefully at ALL the commentary from the HBO crew leading up to the fight and during the initial 2 or 3 rounds. ALL of them were on Tim's side......praising him....calling for the upset....giving PAC a lot of heat for his choices to delay the fight to watch the MIA vs BOS final.....Not warming up.....Looking older, less prepared ect... Listen to all the priase they were giving Tim...how tuff he was, how hard he prepared, how he was a young lion and pouncing on PAC at the right time.... You know....all the **** we heard from some of the fans here on ESB about Tim and how he was going to pull off the upset..."EXPOSE" Pac and such. We only began getting praise for PAC from the HBO crew when they couldn't find ANYTHING to credit Tim for as the rounds became more and more onesided.....IN PAC'S FAVOR. The best the crew could do at the end was to credit Tim's heart....for being able to withstand PAC's dominating performance. Tim was trying but no one really believes anyone who called the fight for the new WBO Welter Weight Champion. We just sit back and contemplate what their reasons are to hate on PAC.:yep
I agreed with OP; Round one Bradley comes out trying to establish the Jab.. silence on their part.. Paq throws three punches at the end of the round.. and they go insane.. I don't even think the last straight left actually landed and they still commented on how great it was. I personally think Max is the least Biased outta the bunch.. maybe Steward.. but Jim and Larry are.. basically blind and insane.
