I watched a lot of his bouts in international and Olympic competition. He was one tough cookie and did his country proud. Who knows how far he may have gone in the pros if he decided to defect from Cuba and pursue that course of action, but he didn't. Pro boxings loss.

    R.I.P.

He was like the prototype of Lewis, Vitali, and Wlad. A great big man that could fight. Orgullo latino. Rest in peace, campeon.

Sometimes I'd wonder if he did become pro if he might of been the first Latino heavyweight champ way before Ruiz. I liked Stevenson's chances he was very talented.

I think he would have had a very good chance around 76-78 while ali was declining and before holmes got his shot.

    RIP Champ

RIP, and vaya con dios. . .

Igor will be with you one day, and maybe you can avenge the KO he delivered!

I'd say Igor was better, as he beat him twice, and even ICED him once. . .

    It's all about that H2H!

But resume wise, he definitely did a lot more. . He edges Savón.
