Joel Casamayor and Michael Katsidis

    Besides the fight (which Casamayor won of course) what happened between these two? Katsidis is quite open of his intense dislike for Casamayor which is quite shocking as Katsidis seems like the kind of bloke who would get on with pretty much everyone, then again Casamayor is a bit of a mouthy ***** so he may have just got under Katsidis' skin.

    Can anyone elaborate on the history between these two?

    I think it's because of casamayor's personality, and the fact that a rematch never materialized. katsidis always wanted that rematch. as far as i'm concerned i'd still love to see it.

    yeah a rematch would make sense in some ways, they're both shot to **** now but a rematch at 140 could be made as a supporting bout on a big card or maybe on ESPN's "Friday Night Fights"

    watched the first fight today before work on espn classic....... great fight!!! I don't wanna see these 2 shot fighters going at it with anyone from here on. they both desperately need to call it day and bow out.

    Yea, I don't want to see them be used as stepping stones. . . So even if they do win the fight, they'll still get jobbed and screwed over because they are the "opponent."


    BUt I don't like to be the guy who constantly tells a guy he needs to retire either. . .

    if they're hard headed and need to keep fighting I guess that's accepetable since they're both equally shot to ****. Casa was a such a great fighter though I hate to see him look like ****. I just hope neither guy gets a hard hitting propsect to become names on the prospects resume. they've taken enough beatings

    I agree. that being said, i'd love to see them fight each other on farewell terms. It would be a huge event in australia.
