Consider how A Ward is raved about. Ward has had 25 fights, by this time Ottke had made 12 defences.
If Johnson beats Froch he will be in the S6 finals and if Ward was to beat Johnson it would be considered a big win, but Ottke beat Johnson at SMW back in 99.

2. Ottke made 21 title defences and was a winner of 22 world title fights

Consider how Hopkins MW reign is thought to be special yet Ottke had more SMW title victories than Hopkins had MW victories and overall fought better opposition

3. Ottkes reign was impressive when you consider he wasnt a puncher and didnt have an equalizer in his fists.

You want to believe Toney lost 35 lbs before a fight, why do believe that because Toney said so and it allows you do discredit Jones. On the flip side you will not believe anything Calzaghe's opponents say after theyt lost.

I believe Toney because it's so obvious, he was at CW not long before, and you only need to look at the state of his body to see he was bloated and out of shape. I read someone's account who was present at the fight live, he saw Toney training in the gym at an open workout a few days before, and said Toney was in a sweat suit, and that he looked so dehydrated and drained, he was practically being dragged around, and could barely train. I searched for the article, but couldn't find it, I saw it a long time ago.
