It depends on whether he's started cutting/dehydrating yet.

I routinely dropped from 148 to 143 between noon Friday and noon Saturday when I was his age.

Dude. As soon as you are above 175 you are a cruiserweight by definition.

how many cruiserweights do you know that fight at 175 on fight night?

    thats right. zero.

in fact, how many lhw's fight at 175 on fight night?

    thats right. zero.

how many smw's fight between 175-180 on fight night?

    probably 90-100 percent.

you can make a case that jr. is a smw fighting at mw but again, that is something open to debate as to how much of his 180 pounds is not excess water.

    think before you post.

Looks like Chavez Jr. made weight, actually a pound under ( 159lbs ). Let's see how many pounds the kid packs on come fight night.

Honestly he was on target for the weigh in nothing to worry about regarding his weight 5 and a half is easy to take off.

Say what you want about Julio, but he always makes the weight, regardless of his struggles. :bart

he's gonna beat the hell out of Lee. I'm stoked for this fight. I don't get the Chavez Jr hate, he's progrsseing nicely. Solid chin+high workrate and body work= almost guaranteed win vs no workrate Lee who stands straight up and is wide open for body shots.

JCC jr via 10-2 type decision or late stoppage after wearing Lee down.
