Brian Kenny is one of the most respected real boxing journalist in the business. You gonna call Thomas Houser as being a TR employee as well? LOL
At the very least his ability to judge a fight is seriously in question. It looks particularly bad as he was commentating for Top Rank. Personally, I have lost all respect for him and greatly doubt his integrity now.
i seem to recall hearing that hauser was on topranks payroll. it wouldn't surprise me one bit because he was the main guy writing all those articles shitting on hbo leadership and their associations with al haymon. all those write ups wreaked of 'bob arum is good for boxing and al haymon is bad.' it was just bull**** imo. the funny thing about it...the move that got hbo's bossout...turning down pac/mosley...turned out to be a good move. that fight was ****!!! apparently he knew better. there was no follow up article on that...but there should have been. so now thomas hauser is an advisor to hbo. i seem to recall that dan rafael was being considered for a matchmaking position at hbo as well. these ppl are writers!!! they are great at putting a few sentences together and covering what they see...but neither guy knows **** about boxing.
Brian Kenny lost his respect in the boxing world by scoring the fight for Bradley! 99.999999% of the worlds population thought Manny won!
He was on the take. I watched the international telecast and suspected as such from the first few rounds. Me and my friends watching were telling each other all through the fight what kind of bull**** his commentary was. He barely called the action, and was there solely to make a case for Bradley winning, which he did after every round, even after the rounds he was getting beat up. His score at the end just confirmed it.
Brian Kennedy called every pitty pat punches landed as effective shots and in his opinion was far superior to Pacquiao work (even if Pacquiao wobbled him) it was not enough, and Mario Lopez agreed. :rofl:rofl
