This really sucks! Rios is probably my favorite fighter because of his straight forward smash-mouth style, But these weight issues are really getting out of hand. I absolutely don't believe he hurt his shoulder either, and I really don't blame Herrera for being pissed. Herrera was lucky to receive another big name fight after losing to Alvarado, and now that Brandon has pulled out Herrera might not get another big name opportunity.

Brandon really needs to get his weight under control, I saw him talking to Jim Lampley before the Pacquiao vs Bradley fight only 6 days ago, and he was still a chubby fat ass with only a month to go before the fight.

Damn, I hadn't seen that it was for July 7th. I take back what I said. :hat

Props to Pavlik to take on such a short notice and the guy seems to be already better than the 2 bums he fought earlier. Hope he pulls an impresive performance then. :hat

La Bomba's not the same since he tore his shoulder in the Pryor fight. Pavlik will bludgeon Will, but it's going to take some rounds. This fight will show us where Pavlik is at.

If this fight was several months away it would be a bad fight for Pavlik. But with it just weeks after his last fight it gives Pavlik another fight under his belt with his new team and leaves him available for a big fall fight with someone like Bute. This is a good scenario for Pavlik.

I've only seen Rosinsky once, against Rodriguez, and he's not a bad fighter. I scored that fight for Rodriguez and thought the fight could have gone either way and isn't the robbery some say it was but the 100-90 scorecards were really bad.

Rosinsky just beat Pryor Jr, who is becoming a journeyman at this point, and is a clear step up from guys like Sigmon and Jaco. This isn't an HBO caliber fight but considering HBO needed to come up with an opener in 3 weeks its ok. Rosinsky should make Pavlik work for the win but Pavlik beats Rosinsky, its just a question of ko or decision.

I said it in the other thread about this fight: TEAM PAVLIK ARE ****ING ******S!!!!

They passed on an easy win vs Stevenson in a way higher profile fight with way bigger reward that would have earned them a top 10 SMW ranking and a mando position and hella more barganing chips than beating a nobody like Rosinsky. Sad thing is Pavlik would have walked through Stevenson and bludgeoned him with ease, easy fight for him. Rosinksy is a way harder fight and not only that it's way lower reward. Pavlik still wins but honestly stupid ****!!!

Pavlik vs Stevenson= low risk/ HIGH reward

Pavlik vs Rosinsky= high risk/ no reward.

    insanity going here.

I think they knew last week Brandon was hurt and was trying to Push himself to still fight and they started looking to Place Pavlik in a HBO fight.

I agree i would have loved the Stevenson fight, but this IMHO shows Pavlik's Head is in the right place 2 fight less than a month apart from his last fight!

September is going to be interesting!

The way IB was bitching he seems to think Rosinsky isn't even a step up from Sigmon. Stevenson does have a downside. Mandatory for a belt actually degrades his bargaining power since Froch could just let it go to purse bid.

Also seems like they inquired about matching Groves or Degale with Pavlik for July 7, but were rebuffed. Either would have been intersting IMO.
