    undercards don't add to the buys. what the main event or co-main events does is added to very little by undercards.

    promoters are not stupid. if it made them more money , they'd stack up the card.

    what's the largest ppv donaire , mares , rios and them has ever done?

    100k for pinoy power/latin fury cards?

    Not really, if it can do 2 million buys, there'll be plenty of money to pay them all. I doubt it could reach anywhere near 2 million. It's mainly hardcore fans that care about undercards, most casuals buy PPV based on the headliner, and it's casuals that make up the majority of PPV buys in big events. Atleast that's what promoters say.

    Without Canelo and Mosley, Floyd-Cotto does not do 1.5 million. Canelo is one of the biggest draws in boxing - not PPVwise, but in terms of being a fan fave for the Mexicans. Canelo is a top ten name in boxing. GB has done a good job of hyping him.

    it'll do about the same as pac-jmm 3.

    maybe more , maybe less. depends on how the casual fans perceive it.

    "oh yes! another good pac-jmm fight!" OR "another fight? haven't we seen this before?"

    either way it'll still be around what pac-jmm 3 did.


    undercard adds NOTHING.

    what filipino is gonna buy a donaire fight that already isn't buying it to see pacquiao?

    what mexican is gonna buy a rios fight that already isn't buying it to see marquez?

    very few.

    say a few hundred k more? that's great.

    but it added another element. a mexican fan attraction to a fight between an american and a puerto rican.


    what does rios and donaire add to pacquiao-marquez?

    most filipinos are already buying it because of pacquiao. most mexicans are already buying it to see marquez try to beat pacquiao.

    The more 'features' you add, the more people are willing to buy into it. I wouldn't have bought FLoyd Cotto if the undercard was **** - but they gave us Canelo Mosley, so it was like, okay, then it is worth it because I'm getting more. If Morales Matthysse had gone down, it would have done 1.75 most likely.

    yeah it'll add a little. but not enough to make it worth it.

    arum is a lot smarter than us. if it made him money , he would do it.

    it doesn't make him more money , so he won't do it. especially since donaire , rios , mares and them will cost him more than they'll actually add to the ppv.

    casuals are what makes big ppv buys.

    casuals don't know who the hell donaire and rios and mares and them are.
