Most talented fighter you have seen whos career ended prematurely ?

    Was watching Lamar Parks fight with Baptiste and it got me wondering, maybe not the most talented but the guy had potential, no doubt. The class of the middleweight division in the 90's was crazy aswell..... Jones JR, Hopkins, Toney, McCallum, Kalambay, Jackson, Nunn, Johnson, McClellan. Guy could have been in some wars.

    Hungry fighter aswell at such a young age, apparently offered a backhander to step aside and let Jones Jr and Johnson get it on.

    Valero is a recent one, I really think he could've done major things in boxing if he had stayed on the right path.

    It looked like Billy Collins was going to go places until he got ambushed by Louis Resto and Panama Lewis with the gloves with the padding removed in their fight. He never boxed again after that and died in an automobile accident a few years later.

    That's true. I mean how can you improve on a 27-0 record with 27 KO's. The guy was a beast in the ring and apparently a crazy mo-fo out the ring to do what he did. Too bad he couldn't get his **** together.

    That **** with Resto is plain crazy, removed the padding AND had his wraps soaked in plaster of paris ? still makes me sick to even think about that, tragic.

    Zab. Too bad Money brutally ruined him in their fight. He hasn't been the same since.

    Surprised nobody has mentioned Salvador Sanchez. He did get the title and was looking like his career was going to nowhere but up for a long time. Too bad he got killed in that car accident.

    :good Should be first on this list. Sanchez has fantastic talent, arguably the best Mexican fighter ever.

    Vrgas and Morales, the brutal classic wars took their toll.(not their careers, but their prime)

    and yes Sanchez 23 years old, and with wins over Gomez ATG, Lil Red Lopez, LaPorte, Nelson.... and was looking to move to 130, then 135 to fight Arguello, imagine that dream fight!!!!!! R.I.P. to both great technicians.
