Lennox Lewis was Canadian ,,,his grammars ,ant's ,uncle's mother's dad had one British blood sell :hooters:blah
sam langford is one of the greatest fighters ever most have him ranked anywhere from 3-5 of all time....other canadian greats include George Dixon (first black champion ever from any country), Tommy Burns (middleweight who won the HW title as a MW and had record setting run for the time), Jimmy McLarnin (certified top 30 all time great pound for pound fighter), Arturo Gatti (one of the most exciting fighter ever). and we've had a buncha belt holders in recent time who are good enough to be worldclass but lose against the best of the divsion and fellow belt holders when trying to unify or stepping up to A+ level....dudes like molitor, bute, hilton had a few good heavy's.... always loved razor ruddock and george chuvalo, also kirk johnsons heavyweight run before he got too fat was fun to watch Jean Pascal (grew up and trained in canada but actually haitian) is good and world class, just a step below elite and will most likely beat Tavoris Cloud in his upcoming fight. Mikaël Zewski looks to be a very good prospect......best since Lemieux fizzled
Was a huge fan of Razor. In the days before the internet,my pal and I used to take turns buying Ring every month(back then it was even further behind time arriving in the UK than it is now) hoping for news on Razor's career post-Tyson... But it rarely came.:verysad
i think pascal is the best from that neck of the woods. im picking him to beat cloud when they fight.
Bute, Pascal clearly the best, exposed for not being " Great " but def still good fighters. Also Canada has Mikael Zewski, Pier-Olivier Cote, Dierry Jean, Eleider Alvarez, Adonis Stevenson, Logan McGuinnis, Antonin Decarie and some others in the prospect area.
Definitely. My boy Lucian Bute, even though he got Froch'd up. Pascal obviously. Adonis Stevenson and Pier Cote are also ones to look out for.
